GBO2: [FA] Unicorn Gundam, Mixed Maps

  • Full Armor Unicorn Gundam! The next stage to the OG Unicorns Upgrade line before the the Awaken Final Battle Version.
    This MS is a... hold on... ...A 700 General???? Wait Wait Wait, It's not a support? Well okay... Is a 700 General MS that has a lot of weapons. For starters you get the iconic Beam Magnum that does less damage compared to the standard magnum, In exchange however you get the pre-nerfed splash that it had. You now have dual bazooka's instead of the single shrapnel bazooka that Unicorn had, these fire projectiles and not shrapnel and insta stun. You get grenade launchers that fir x4 explosive grenades with great build stun. You get a double missile launcher that fires like Stark Jegan's Missile launcher, however these are guided. You get a double fire grenade launcher that does high fire damage but the ticks are slow. The MS has the same Vulcans that Unicorn normal has, they have a high rate of fire with good build stun. We also finally get Unicorn's Shield gatlings! They are on both arms with 2 on each shield for a total of 4. they have a high rate of fire with decent build stun. They also have a special feature where, if the Overheat meter is full, you can press Square to trigger Overcharge, this in turn makes it so your gatlings increase damage, and lets you fire for a longer period of time before overheat. In exchange you CAN'T move, and the cool down is longer compared to just using it normally. This is the first time a skill was ever added to an MS, that has a specific weapon skill that you press/hold down to trigger. Your shields are also large buffers instead of actual shields, this lets you absorb damage, stuns, etc. Similar to how Norn's and HWS's Massive shield acts.
    Like the other unicorns, This one also has NT-D. It triggers at 70% HP, however instead of increased damage to range or melee, sacrificing the other. You in turn let other Unicorns next to you to trigger their NT-D at whatever HP they are at in a area. If they are already in NT-D then you shorten the time it takes for them to Awaken. This is a massive buff to Suits like Banshee and Narrative C-Packs cause they can get NT-D at 100% HP. As long as the FA Unicorn plays smart and gives you the chance. This skill if utilized properly can be very strong, especially for Norn, which is still king. When you trigger awaken your reload speed kicks into, giving you a 35% increase in the speed. Pretty handy.
    Overall Id say FA Unicorn is... okay. The problem's stem from its noticeably long reload time outside of NT-D/Awaken, you also don't heal yourself when Awaken is triggered. So all the HP you get is important, which is why having it trigger NT-D at 70% HP is odd. You don't get it soon enough for you to take advantage of your buff, and with having HP that you cant get back, that's an oof. Add to the fact you have GARBAGE 18 Melee resist??? My brother, you WILL be one comboed by a Norn, Sinanju, or Unicorn if they get the chance. This MS's weapons are all 300m, where as Norn is 300-450. WHY?! This MS is ranged focused, so why make it worry about medium range when it really should have more range. I get they wanna encourage you to fight mid range, to increase the odds of letting allies get the effect when you trigger NT-D. But if they do that then you HAVE to increase its melee defense, it's reload speed, more HP, or let it trigger NT-D at 75/80% instead of 70%. With anni literally around the corner? The Fire grenades give such little pay off that I don't even bother with them Most of the time, Trust me i tried to really utilize them, with little pay off. Honestly, this Suit could be very strong, but with what i stated above I don't really see it being a must pull. BB probably didnt want to make a stupid strong general cause of the backlash from PGTB, and Norn forcing more 700 Buffs around the entire roster. (besides Gale, lmao.) I like this suit, I do. but GOD I struggled with it... I only broke 150K once, and even then that was a mess of a match. So much so that I don't wanna upload it. I didnt save it. The counter animations are cool at least. You get the OG Unicorn magnum counter out of Awaken, and then in awaken you get its own counter animation. Which looks really cool imo.
    You don't have to roll for this suit. The part it comes with is cool, but overall? You don't need it, if you don't want it.
    The first fight i kinda got the MS down at this point, With that said I can still play better. I KNOW I can play better. I just gotta swap weapons better. These second fight was the first time I tried this build, and to my surprise it worked pretty damn well. The extra walk speed lets me move around with out having to thrust as much, I can really mess up some peoples day with this build. With that said, i will probably change the build and try one with more melee defense... getting one comboed by norn isn't fun.

    FA UC will probably need some tweaks in the future in the range department, but for right now it’s pretty solid
