  • This ex- Muslim left Islam due to his Intuition and according to his limited understanding of evidence. Although Shabir repeatedly asked him what yardstick did he use, the answer was not forthcoming. Instead this Atheist decided to put on a show of bravado and kept repeating, a well-rehearsed line to make himself feel better.

Using this guy's logic I should not work anymore because my dad forced me to work when I was younger. Secondly what excuse has he got now for not believing since he's old enough to do and think however he likes? Bogus excuses and laziness the devil convinced this guy to not believe anymore.

@@entertainmentchannel2135 this great example shows that circumstanstial evidence can be used. Else most people couldn't claim who their mother was.
Not everything can be proven empirically, but by observation of the effects, within our current understanding, we can arrive to an assumption God exists (nothing cannot produce something). If you then add scripture holding indices to unknown truths at the time, while discrediting other false beliefs of that time.. and you combine this with an amazing character that had everything to lose but still upheld this belief and came out victorious at the end.. then you can speak of circumstantial evidence.
Further, when you match the injuctions of the islamic faith with what is generally proclaimed by humans to be 'good', 'decent', 'praiseworthy', ect.. anyone should agree that following islam as it was intended is good for society and personal well-being.

Towards the end, he became quite rude however, turning his back and talking to audience rather than to shabir, and doing his disrespectful yawning gestures that were better left for Harry Enfield's Kevin character.

As for the "are you 100% certain" question: Our impressions of anything can rarely be 100% certain, especially if we become hypersceptical, where we even question whether the hand with which we type on youtube actually exists or not. its a bad question since it requires so much unpacking.
Not doubting is not disengenuous. A scientist doesnt doubt earth is round, even if they accept that science changes. If you get philosophical, they would say they accept they cannot know 100% earth is round from a philosophical way, but that doesn't mean they have any real world doubt,

Many people are leaving Islam due to being misled by atheism, evolution, individualism, etc. There is a lack of knowledge being passed down from parent to child, hence many can't hold onto their faith. The material world and the YOLO mentality encourages a life free of God and rules. Religion is under attack, which is why these talks and discussions are so important.

Feelings... emotions .... Exposed so beautifully by br. Shabir. Lol he called br. Shabir a hypocrite when he proved himself to be the one in this conversation. Hope he will watch this and the to figure out his lack of approach which landed him embarassed here clutching to emotions. Sometimes it's worth listening to others who make sense and tell you your faults which you may not see yourself. This guy still has time to reconsider his past mistakes and make them right. That is a blessing if only he would try to realize that.

Okay so he realized he was following blindly, but instead of looking at the beliefs of Islam and understanding it for himself, he decided since so many people have beliefs that means Islam isn't correct? If he's going to make statements that all these religions are not likely to be correct then he needs to have a reason why, not the same subjectiveness he judges these people of religion for having.

There was an utterly amazing documentary put together on CZcams about intelligent design which has been deleted. It started off with some sort of opera song and a man saying "we are programmed like a computer" and another man saying "and they are absolutely propagandizing this world...". If anyone knows where to find this that would be so helpful.

After watching a couple of discussions with this Ansar brother, something has become quite clear. I could be wrong, but I would bet that he had some pretty bad experiences with his family and national/ethnic culture growing up. To him, these negative ''experiences'' were the fault of Islam, and religion in general, which could explain why it seems like he's always very emotional regarding this topic.

In the video, Brother Shabir Yusuf refers to a "Creator" but even that pre-conceived notion should be questioned. I mean God and Cretaor are two different things, and considering God created the universe is pre-conceived notion. I mean, human being has a limited understanding of the whole universe, so if we assume there is a God (which is already an assumption, not a certain fact), to talk about a Creator assumes as well that God created the universe (2nd assumption or pre-conceived notion) , which we dont know. I mean there is a possibility that God exists and just did not create the universe, and in that case, the Creator would not be God, but an other entity nobody has ever observed or thought about yet. So clearly the above discussion started on wrong bases with this pre-conceived notion that God is the Creator...
