She wanted to stand and bang with Nunes wich is crazy but she managed to draw nunes into a standing brawl and outbrawled the lioness. it was that plan that worked for nunes vs cyborg! nunes def got taken by surprise and she both got cracked and gassed all in one. like conor did vs diaz 1. it went very well early then it all flipped on a dime.nunes didnt pull guard just tapped without putting up very much of a fight. she will get a chance to right her wrongs in the rematch. i do think she will regain the belt if she refreshes her complete arsenal. like gsp said,beeing champ is very hard cos one must always train for hungry contenders. nunes seems to have taken the foot of the pedal now she has a kid and all.
This one was of the best UFC events ever. Great showcase by all the fighters.

This card was not even the best card of the year. It was one of the best cards (UFC) of 2021, but there have been plenty better than this one through the history of the organization.

Ill start. Remember that time in 2011 when dana white lied when he acquired strike force. promised it will be "business as usual" Soon after the acquisition, the UFC closed the promotion of Strikeforce and brought the fighters onto the UFC's roster. Never forget.

Wasn't much of a fight, pena dominated and finished it early.
Fight of the night is both fighters performing.
She got the performance bonus, but amanda just blacked out that fight and nearly all fights were one sided.
The other fight that was even, was riddled with eye pokes and lowblows.

Easily the best year. I've been watching UFC since UFC 100 and they have some great years and I can only count like 1 or 2 years where they had a lot of injuries and it plaiged the company and I was worried after those years but since then every year has top last year. Then the whole money fight thing happen and everyone only wanted to see big big fights with McGregor and Rousey and they both fell off and the sport looked bleeked for a a couple months but then all the fighters started to evolve and here we are now.
Ive been watching before the ufc was ufc the very beginning and its hands down #1 in my book

2021 was one of UFC greatest years. Can't think of 2 better fights to end it with, Pena beating all the odds and creating one of the greatest underdog wins of UFC. Then we get 2 incredible men and warriors going at it like its their last fight and the submission G*d Oliveira defends his title setting up Gaethje fight . Amazing hopefully 2022 is even better đ
