  • I messed up my painting!
Recently I have been feeling much more connected to my creative self and with that connection came a bunch of fresh ideas! As I began to put some of these ideas into action, and onto paper, I was having loads of fun and creating work that I was proud of.
And then this happened...I messed up a painting that I was very excited about and had a clear vision for.
I have been discussing the idea of how we feel and the things we are going through affect our ability to connect with our creativity. This instance was interesting because I was having a few harder days and it showed as I continued to attempt to bring my vision to life.
In this video I share how the process went and what I decided to do with the painting that I messed up. It was a good idea that had gone wrong, watch to see what happens next!
Thank you so much for watching and spending some of your time with me today!

Jaz you know artists are their own worst critics. Also, having the courage to discuss something you messed up or don't like helps other people as well. A lot of people don't like to say I created something that didn't come out good. Because what are mistakes? Learning experiences. No artist is prefect no person is perfect. And the best thing about it, you can do it over. The hardest thing is to keep going. I think this was a great video on overcoming that. A lot of artist like to show hey I did this amazing picture...but I'm not going to show the ten failed attempts prior.

Ohhh loved your last line! So true, which is just a human thing to do with the internet these days, but that's part of why I ended up making the video the way that I did. So I'm SO HAPPY that you got something out of it and have so much encouragement- as usual! You're so kind Mr. Patrick. In the end the dang Dinosaur did grow on me a bit so that's a plus hahah.

I just discovered your channel during my still-waking-up-breakfast-quiet-time-on-the-computer and it was very chill and fun to watch you put your creativity into action, and your words were genuinely helpful. Thank you for making this. *high-fives*
