- I set out to create a better cargo carrier for use in the backcountry. It solves my two main complaints with typical hitch carriers: ground clearance and blocking the tailgate. #backcountrycamping #overland #fabrication

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and say that you should patent and produce, or patent and sell the rights to it because this is a FANTASTIC design.
I agree!
Bad ass! Designed, better than anything I’ve seen!
Would love to see a full building video.
This is just a flex of a good idea. Show us how to make it dude
So cool I had to watch it twice.
I was literally trying to look for something like this on Amazon that has a hitch that swivels out to the side for easy trunk access…nothing to be found ..awesome design !
i'd pay $300 for one of these to fit my subaru outback.
Add a cross-section or fold out floor that connects in the center. a Tent would fit perfect.
Take my money!
Well done, geat idea👌👌that is exactly what i need,
I need one of those !!!
Awesome commentary! Top rate. When does manufacturing start? Have you patented the idea?
No patents, and no plans for one. It's pretty vehicle specific.
for those of us who do not have the skills to build... We are S.O.L.
Love the budget simplicity. How would you add a spare tire?
That’s just a damn good idea.
Thanks!
No I think this is great for swinging tailgate suvs like jeeps or broncos.
what would you charge to make one of these
Very nice set up! Does the tailgate fully open with the rack installed but empty? Looks like its maybe 1.5" too tall
No, the rack has to be open for the tailgate to clear. As easy as it is to open, not a big deal.
I fucking luv it
Why isn't this on Kickstarter?
Where can I buy????? I want!!!!
You'll have to build your own! Because the hitch to tailgate heights can vary so much between vehicles, a "universal" model wouldn't have the same benefit.
@@ozarkgarage You could create a different sized extender in the vertical direction similar to the hitch extender.
Can you build me one ?
Do you sell them?
Nope, just inspiration to build your own.
@@ozarkgarage bro you are a king.
