This was important for me to hear. Been going to the gym and staying sober for over 6 months now and it’s hard. Mainly because I feel like no one is supporting me.
But this is the sort of thing I need to understand. A pat on the back doesn’t matter. I’ve got to do it all for me. If I can do it on my own I’ll become unbreakable

I lost my mom on July 2 my dad on July 12 and my husband on July 25, 2021. All in the same month. I’m only strong because what other choice do I have. The sun will come up tomorrow and I am gonna be here. So when “He” just cut me off recently it makes me smile and carry on because I have been through far worse….

This popped up at exactly at the right time for me. Today there was a party that a bunch of my friends were at, up late, having fun. But you know what I was doing… At home alone, fucking working. Working my on my mind (I got home work done and studied for hours) and body (it was abs day and I trained till failure). This video feels so relatable right now. The simple act of climbing a mountain alone in a snow storm which I never have done was a lot for me. Nothing crazy but I did it. I found that "fuck it" motivation that day. Climb your own mountain alone. Not literally but do it

im living this "misery" for way too long, 10+ years now. almost 2 years ago i made the decision to do whatever i can. i started picking up the pieces, getting my life together. i work out 4-6 times a week, alone, when im motivated and when im tired, i dont care, but i just cant be alone anymore. i was able to ignore it, even draw motivation from it. you know, doing all the work by myself, i dont need anyone and all that. but i do and i just cant do it anymore. life is so emtpy and meaningless alone, i dont want to keep going. i do, because there is still a slight hope of a different future, but its fading with every passing day and it gets harder and harder.
Imagine putting that monologue as background to guts edit or video.
Would be so awesome.
When you are alone and do things alone, you get to know your inner self, you have infinite motivation. Whe there is a family and friends behind, you are constantly worrying about them, you can't go and run at 1am, even if you want to, they would think I am escaping. But when you are alone, all by yourself, you never need motivation as a man. You would never need to think about anybody /anything else.

My ex just assumed that what I had I got easily: he always felt inferior to me despite him having a glittering career etc. Had he taken the trouble he’d have found out that everything I’d achieved, I achieved IN SPITE of my parents and not because of my parents: I schooled myself; I housed my self; I parented myself and throughout all the childhood trauma I survived, I healed myself. 5 years we dated and he knew nothing of this.

@@98487 all of what you've described has one core, and it's low self-respect and self-trust. you need a goal in your life, a personal goal. one that will make you put yourself and achieving it above others. one that will build back your self-trust. sit with yourself and think: what is it that YOU want from YOUR life? everything always starts from within. if i was to take everything and everyone from you, who would you be? as you decide on a goal to work toward, you are halfway closer to being a success. if you act on it every day, you become successful.

There is point in life where being in solitude have benefits. But humans are created to procreate and have a partner. Anything else is coping. And if solitude or loneliness work for some, like for Gogins, it does not mean it will work for everyone.
I get what your trying say. Even Goggins is a millionaire cause of the people he has inspired. But sometimes when you need to change something you dont like about yourself you have to go into solitude and work hard to change and be a better human being and in turn be A better partner and parent.
