I have a great stay at Avani hotel in Pattaya food are great and all what you want is already at nearby ....can go walking to seaside ....can go malling beside the lobby and has Starbucks too ....
Getting into and out of a bath to have a shower when late at night pissed up never ends well
Avani looks lush mate love it might look into staying a night or 2 here! 🍻

I stayed here when it was then called The Royal Garden that was in 1994, it was part of a package flew from LHR to BKK on Qantas then collected by the hotel's tour bus and onto the hotel. They even has in the lobby a massage shop so I requested a in-room massage that turned out to offer more. The hotel then was not guest friendly they charged 1000b back then was expensive and they knocked on your door at mid day guest had to leave. I spent my entire holiday was spent elsewhere because of the guest policy. I still remember the whole package cost £550 for 14 nights.
Great review there Betty.. I was contemplating in booking this hotel, last year I stayed at the Hilton on beach Road. On reflection with the help of your review of this hotel and you have also given a review of the Hilton I have decided to go back to the Hilton. It’s definitely more money there but the hotel has a huge wow factor over the Avani …but great review 👍
Thanks Toby. Sadly I have never had the budget to stay at the hilton. But from what I saw of it when my friend let me review his room, it looks like a fantastic hotel. One day I'll stay there I hope!

Thanks for your work on this Besty- glad to hear you had a late breakfast- must mean you had a good late night! You will have to give an update on your spends at the end of the trip- I know people say its different for everyone but a lot of us are in the same boat- approx £60- £100 a day spends for me depending on company. Looking forward to more of your vlogs.

Thank you for taking the time for the review. I do agree with you about the wow factor. It looks like a nice family hotel which is not what I would be looking for. At that price, I think better options could be available.
Is it just me or o htoel sausages at breakfast all looked undercooked in Thailand. something i noticed at hotel Lancaster in Bangkok as well. also 5 star

Recently discovered too that the cheapest way to book the avani is direct through their own site. Personally, I’m a fan of the hotel. As ever, great review Besty 👌🏻
great vid as always.. Avani definitely off my list.. my 2 non negotiables when booking are.. walkin shower and electronic safe big enough for my laptop..

Maybe the last place did spoil you slightly, although yeah, looked nice but know what you mean about no ‘wow’. Good steady upper-mid range from the looks of it 👍🏻😎 oh, yeah, film the bed on check-in day if nothing else (and edit it in 😆)

They had a 1000baht joiner fee in 2019. The old Marriott did not. They even had a guard at night at entrance of beach road to enforce the fee.
For £40 a night you can get a suite at lk royal suite the room is amazing
Not really a comparison though is it. I've stayed at plenty of lk properties. If you were to compare one to the Avani it would surely be lk emerald.

Oh sure, I like to have snacks. There are quite often pringles, peanuts etc in the mini bar. I usually just pick mine up from the 7/11.

Yeah, there are tour groups and families staying here. Especially noticeable around the pool area.
The $1000baht joiner fee is a rip off. I guess you spend your time reading a nice book at night. LoL

@@BigFatBesty Great news, love the pool and location. The fee was in 2019. I did stay at the Marriott numerous times and never a fee.
Did you book the room for one person? I have heard that the Avani are pissy strict about a joiner fee if you've booked it for one.
I’ve stayed as both Marriott resort and a dozen times or more as Avani. Never had an issue when bringing guests back. In fact I’d say they’re very much guest friendly in my experience

It's far from shit. It may be overpriced, but it's not shit. There are plenty of shit rooms in Pattaya, mostly around soi buakhao. They aren't overpriced for a reason.
