I love: your cat painting behind you, your colors used in your tray hanging on the wall behind you, the colors everywhere around you - so cute in a log cabin! I also love: your videos, your animals, your kitchen with this layout, and of course, your log cabin! I also love YOU! You are just so precious, intelligent, tenacious, skilled, loving and patient (at least for the most part with Scott - hahahahaha)! You have more common sense than anyone I've ever met, even my husband who I thought had hung the moon! Thanks Becky! I'm your greatest fan!

I did this huge mistake of buying 15 assorted rare breeds. Oh boy, what a nightmare this is. Unfortunately I got 4 very skittish, frightful breed that scream every time something comes close and then whole flock panicks and screams. It is stressful and very unpleasant to care for them when they 're so unfriendly. Beside that, some are aggressive and strong, some are calm and gentle and don't get so much food....grrr, I'm so upset for doing this newbie mistake.

I got 10 chicks at the same time. My 3 black sex links get along pretty well with my cochins I also got 4 sapphires I can't remember the whole name for the sapphires anyway they never got as big as the other ones so I separated them. They are all fully feathered I was wondering if I can put them in the same coop as the black sex links and the couchins or do I need to keep them separated

But sense then she has not laid any eggs at all I was hoping you could help me figure out whats wrong! She is acting perfectly normal eating and drinking. A hand full of times i have seen her in the nesting box acting like she was gonna lay but then after about 20 mins she will come down without laying an egg. Please any advice would be amazing!

We have had 6 chickens for 2 years now. All doing well, laying eggs well until this spring. Production was down to 1 egg a day, sometimes none. We have always fed them organic pellets. Started watching your videos and we began to feed a can of sardines a day, and we made your homemade chicken feed of sunflower, oats, corn, doggie kibble and diatomaceous earth sprinkled in. Presto! More eggs!! The only concern i have is none of them eat the oats. It’s always laying on the ground. Any suggestions? Thank you!!!

Gosh seems so easy to homestead in Florida. We live in California where the air is even expensive. Is there a way to cheaply do a homestead here in California? I was raised in in Oxnard the Centura county area where the weather is perfect. I'm currently living in the valley where it's so crazy hot for me out here in the summer time and expensive too. I want to live where the summers are bearable without paying a million dollars to be there. I want to be a cheap efficient homesteader for a family of 8. I have 6 children.

I say brown because when they are older there will be brown & egg layers. It was an opportunity for finally getting them. I hope that following your guidance I can get it done right for them. It's my first chick's, ever. I'm thinking I need help but, to only me. I have a cat that's pregnant and I have been trying to make sure they are separated. My dog would be in their house and I am also trying to get a fenced area for him. And I want to put my garden next to the coup, surrounding the outside area. Is this a good idea.what plants would good to have neR their fencing?

Hello. I really like all your videos. Interesting and informing. However, I was wondering do you have a video somewhere that explains how to care for chicks that hatched in the coop? I don't have an incubator. I do have the lamps and such. Do I take them out at a certain age, do I take the chicks and the hen and house them else where? Never hatched eggs before, have always purchased from a hatchery. I would be excited to see a response. 🌷
