YOU ARE SO TALENTED ASHLEIGH. I WANT ONE OF THOSE SOOOOOOOOO BADLY. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Omg i seriously can not believe you shared my cake thank you so much❤❤❤ i've been following your channel since the very beginning and i learned alottt from you so being able to make a cake that you like is such a milestone for me and i'm super gratful for this🥺❤❤❤❤
Hi Ashley amazing cookies 😍can you make a video about cake serving sizes!
WOW!! So beautiful!! 😍 great tutorial Came in handy today. Thank you 😊
If you have Instagram, I would love to see your results and feature them on my channel. You can send photos to @sdbakeshoppe :)
Thank you for this amazing guide! It really is so useful, but I was wondering if you were piping the outline and letting it rest slightly then filling or just in single pass?
No resting or else it ends up with a line so I just pipe it right away! 🥰
The cookies are beautiful!!❤️ What brand luster dust do you use? I've been searching for a good one for awhile, and I love the look of the one that you used!!
Thank you! Sweet Sticks-it’s completely edible lustre dust, but my favourite is Truly Madly Plastics. This is not completely deemed as ‘edible’, but it’s non toxic.
Can you help me please I want to buy the icing tip holder that you shared a friend sent you ....
For me I usually do the outlining first for every cookie with a small hole and then cut the hole bigger in order to flood them! It takes a bit more time but I'm able to use a flooding consistency the entire time ^_^"" my icing consistency always ends up a bit too watery so this worked out well for me
If you are done decorating the cookie how long can you leave them in the oven to dehydrate?
5-10 minutes!
Do you add any extract/flavoring to your icing?
I don’t tend to, but you totally can
Never did cookies. But I think you finally got me wanting to. Yep. I'm gonna be having to buy lots of cookie cutters. You selling?
Oh yay! 😂😂 I can barely stop buying them let alone part with them! Haha
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe Do you really want to know what sold me? The same consistency and using the same bag for outlining and flooding. The thought of two icings, two bags, switching back and forth...I was like "no M'am"....although cakes are wayyy more bags and stuff...lol. BUT IN MY MIND it was too much work! When I watched you use the same icing, the same bag...I was like....."Oh....I can see it now!" I'll one day link my hot messes...aka...my first cookies...it should give many people some laughs and enjoyment! Or maybe I'll find my talent? Who knows!!
@@TheFancyCakery I feel you about the piping bags!!! It’s why I stopped using “outlining consistency”. Can’t wait to see that video!!
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe Maybe you can do a video of you gifting a cutter to a subscriber...or a few...and they film themselves using it and you can do a compilation video of the beautiful...or in my case...fails......using your gifted cookie cutter! It could work! Just sayin. LOL ( I want the wine one!)
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe 😯Ummm you really wanna see that hot mess of a video??
Where can I get your buscuits recipes.. I tried everthing and the stil spead. Even refrigerating brfore putting them in the oven.. I have also made them thinker🤦♀️ but they still spread
I'm addicted. I know the 1 cup icing sugar 1 tablespoon meringue powder ratio for flooding but what ratio did you use for the piping and flowers?
I also watched your flooding/piping consistency video yesterday where you said you beat the icing for at least 10 minute. I tried that last night and ended up with icing that was very stiff. When I added more water and beat it in I ended up with icing that was way too fluffy. After I had it in the oven to dry I tested the centres and they were very airy and sticky. What am I doing wrong? 😔
I'm trying another batch tonight, hope to get it perfect this time
So for your speed of mixer, that must have been too long. When you try it again, start with about 3 minutes and see how it is at that mark! The icing shouldn’t feel “too fluffy” or “marshmallow like” if that makes sense. For the piped flowers, I don’t really know the exact ratio because I eyeball it every time with the icing I have leftover. However, I add in a few tablespoons of meringue powder as well as a bit of icing sugar until it’s thick enough to pipe, but isn’t thick like a paste. Good luck with the cookies!!
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe thank you so much. I'm actually busy with the cookie right now, it seems like the shorter time helped.
My mixer is way faster on high compared to (for example) my sister's.
Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it.
Wish we had access to all the cutters and awesome stuff you guys have over there. Our options are limited here in South Africa.
For interest sake, over here we charge R14 a cookie even if it's custom, if it has a lot of detail it is R16
R14 = 1.17 Canadian dollar
R16 = 1.33 Canadian dollar
I'm quite curious as to how our ingredient prices compare to the prices you pay in Canada like for instance 1kg of icing sugar.
What is the script you are using for the lettering?
For the printing, I looked at Times New Roman. For the script it’s kind of a mishmash of things that I’ve seen-no particular font name for it 🙂
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe thank you..
She will love those, they are beautiful 💜💜💜💜... But you didn't use your cookie turntable.. lol....
I have misplaced it!!! 😭 I know it’s somewhere though!!
😭😭😭😭
