I see a lot of those homes have a lot of glass windows and by the water it looks very quiet and chill.
Such a serene environment
Windows is Finland have at least 3 layers of glass to meet the requirements for energy efficiency. I am not aware that any other materials beside glass would be used in windows.
In some outdoor roofs or greenhouses some plastic materials like polycarbonate are used to let light in.
In Finland it's common that balconies have movable glasses, making it an extra room (outside winter months)

African Tigress, Finland had a very serious war with Soviet Union then,( Russia now). They lost land to Russia as part of the peace deal. Please do some further research about it if you can. It is one of the reasons for young conscripts to serve in the Army.

A nice video, thank you! One thing, though - Herttoniemenranta is not a rich neighbourhood, it is more middle-class than anything else with the typical mix of housing in Helsinki. Nevertheless, it is a very nice place with a nice beach, and I cycle through it quite often.
If you had wanted to see a bit richer neighbourhood - not the richest though - you should have gone to Kulosaari, the island on the other side of the bridge towards the city centre. There you have some really big houses with their own access to water. Those aren't cheap at all 🙂.

Nice video! btw Herttoniemenranta which is seen in this video is not among the richest neighborhoods in Helsinki, it's a pretty average neighbourhood by income and the look of it. The neirby island Tammisalo is a high-income area though.

I live in that neighbourhood and calling it rich is just wrong... Sure, there are expensive apartments (like in almost every sub urb in Helsinki) and there are very inexpensive apartments owned by the city pretty close to each other.
