In this video I take a very common dish down here on the Mississippi Coast, and take it over the top with a delicious shrimp & crab bisque reduction, that is a seriously delicious recipe! I baked the stuffed crabs on my Grill, but can easily be done in any oven, and normally is.

Every time I watch a Smoky Ribs recipe I wish I was his neighbor. :)
Blimpdawg I wanna be his best friend , lol
Me too
Blimpdawg hi butters
Blimpdawg I wish he was my dad 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 I love seafood
All of your cooking videos take me straight back to my young childhood. My memories supply the smells and flavors that CZcams can't relay. Thank you so much for the cooking advice, and the nostalgia!
Me too ,reminds me a Lot staying at my grandparents place for Summer Break As a Kid
There's no telling how many of those I could eat
Now this is how you do a cooking tutorial video. He pretty much answered every question I could have asked. You're a badass cook man. Thanks
Thanks, I appreciate it, and glad you enjoyed the video!
I have been watching a lot of Blue crab videos lately and I find yours the best and most mouth watering. Although there is a lot of preparing to do, the final product is worth it. I will be attempting this recipe on Thanksgiving when I prepare food for my family.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
That fire alarm beeping at the end had my wife wondering the house looking lol
Yea, a nine volt battery replacement, can save a family and a recipe.
DavisGarrettD please invite me over .
That's some mighty mighty fine eating right there Rus!! We love crabbing and eating them!!
+TheWolfePit It sure was Larry! I love to crab as much as I do fishing. I think I'm going to buy some crab traps. I'm probably missing a lot with these nets
+Smoky Ribs BBQ & Southern Cuisine We use the same type of traps you do Rus. When I was a kid my father and I used string, fish heads and a net! That made it a lot of fun!
+TheWolfePit Yeah, my parents would use the nets, and us kids would just tie a chicken neck on the string and pull them in. That's what my grand daughters were doing this day. So much fun, and great for kids, not to mention the good eats afterwards ;)
+Smoky Ribs BBQ & Southern Cuisine We use chicken backs now, but when I was a kid we didn't have enough money to buy necks or backs. My father and I would get ice bags full of fish heads from the boat docks or fish markets in the morning for FREE!! They'd always give us way more than we needed!
Fish was a better bait anyway. That's what crabs love. I can't find chicken necks anywhere anymore. We actually used chicken backs on this video
Wow, those stuffed crabs look great!
+Spoon Fork Heart Thank you! I appreciate you watching 😊
Simply amazing. Everything looked great from beginning to end.
Thank you, I sure appreciate it
That's awesome Rus! Man you are really making me want to cook some blue crabs. My dad used to cook them for us quite a lot growing up! I can get them fresh on the weekends right down the street, and we also have a few good seafood market to shop at. Thanks for sharing these awesome southern recipes!
Thanks Adam, I appreciate you watching. Our local Gulf blue crab is just hard to beat! I like them just about any way you can cook them, and especially fried soft shells. Your welcome Adam, and I sure thank you for stopping by :)
Rus, there's considerable work to do there, but oh wow, is it worth it!! Your stuffed crabs are pure ambrosia! The shrimp cream sauce blew me away! Fabulous! Thanks for all the effort you put into this great video my friend!
+Juanelo1946 Hi John, and yes a lot of work, but I love doing things like this! Thanks for your great comments! I sure appreciate it :)
Wow I can almost taste it from here! Thanks for this recipe looks sooooo delicious 😍
This is my new favorite CZcams channel. I was born and raised in southern Texas, spent quite a bit of time from Corpus Christi to Orange Tx. Great food! My grandma told me about the lungs killing/poisoning people too!
+Apathy Technology Wow, thank you, I sure appreciate that! Yeah, I think my parents told us kids that, just to make sure we didn't try to eat them lol :)
I hate watching these I always end up hungry!
ah Blue Crabs, Rus! You brought back a childhood memory on Mobile Bay off County Road 1 when I was about 6-7 years old; Dad was emptying crab traps off the wharf (baited with chicken necks and backs) into a #10 metal washtub; one of those blue crabs got out of his tongs, freaked out and ran across the deck and nicked one of my big toes! Lost my flip flop doing back down the wharf to Momma and the cup of peroxide over my foot! To this day, I enjoy blue crab claws only after they are fried and I know they are "safe"! My brothers and I picked many a blue crab back in the 60s. Great cook, my friend!!
+MJ Trainor You made me laugh big time! That was funny! I remember a big huge crab getting a hold of my dads finger, and he wasn't about to let go. I think my dad had to take a pair of pliers and break his claw to get him off. I can honestly say, I've never been pinched by one yet, but I'm sure I will eventually. Great fun and memories, and good eats ;) Thanks MJ, I appreciate you watching!
+Smoky Ribs BBQ & Southern Cuisine Glad to share the memory with you Rus! My 40th high school reunion is in a few weeks in Mobile! Wondering if I have lingering PTSD from that dang crab! Reminds me of the Smother's Brothers .... Crabs Walk Sideways and Lobsters Walk Straight! ;)
You have everything going for you... I LOVE STUFFED CRABS...that is good ones..i have in the last couple of years have had some really bad ones... either they taste dry or over cooked or even with shell in it. REALLY BAD.. Thank you for your great videos . It gives me hope that there is someone whom cares about his food and wants to share. God bless you!!!
Thata one of the finest recipes for stuffed crab I have ever seen........great job....
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
great video !! I love blue's and cant wait to try this recipe
Thanks for sharing the experience. I can't wait to have blue crabs cook this way on my next event in Clear Lake,Texas.
I'm dyin' watching this video. My wife and I visit coastal South Carolina pretty often and we doa lot of crabbing. Generally, we make crab cakes, but this, THIS, is driving me nuts. It WILL on our "must make" list when we return to the coast. Thank you!
Sure makes me miss my Mississippi gulf coast! Earlier while busy preparing breakfast I was listening and half watching while wondering which of our smoke detectors might have a low battery. Thankfully I came back to this and sat down to finish, giving it my full attention, because our ADT wireless system and all is a fairly regular occurring source of stress...but I digress. What a labor of love that was!
I learn something new every time I watch your videos or see you cook in person! I have noticed that these are rare at eating places these days... I used to see these everywhere back in the day!!!! The blue crabs are abundant right now in Corpus...That shrimp head sauce is the bomb !!!!! OMG the scene of you pouring the sauce on the stuffed crabs made my mouth water!!!! I request this next year at JB's... Just the sauce fir dipping crawfish tails in!!!! WOW... This is my new Favorite video you have made!!!! Peace my Brother!!! See you later tell the wife and grand daughter hello!!!
+Cookin with Surfin Sapo Yeah, everything has changed over the years. If you order a seafood platter around here, some places still do the stuffed crabs, some do a crab cake, and the best restaurants will put a deep fried soft shell crab on the platter! YUM! This would make killer dipping sauce for shrimp, crawfish, or even poured on fish. Remind me next year, and I'll make some in advance to take with us :) Thanks Sapo, I sure appreciate it!
Superb Rus! You know, I have had these at restaurants a thousand times. With my left over crabs I always shelled them and made crab cakes, definitely doing this one!!!! Thank you!!!
+Kim Mozingo Thank you Kim! I've eaten them all of my life. Most restaurants here in Biloxi and elsewhere in the region, usually puts a stuffed crab on a seafood platter, but this sauce takes it to a whole new level!
Smoky Rib's good job on the staff crabs. Good job Thank you Lydia Johnson from Chicago
Welcome back Rus.
we missed you there for a moment.
I had a chance to eat some Crawfish a couple of weeks ago. I showed your Rocket Pot video with Crawfish to my friend, needless to say he's desperately wanting one now, we seasoned the way you did and soaked. Awesome good eats man!
I haven't made stuffed crab (deviled crab) since last summer. I'll have to try it your way since your the crawfish video was a success when we repeated your steps.
Thanks Terrence! Just took a short break, had things going on and places to go but I'm back to it now. Really glad to hear you tried the steaming method for your crawfish! I was raised eating the stuffed crabs, but man this sauce really takes them to a whole new level. Let me know what you think after making them. Cheers!
That looks so so good.
I LOVE STUFFED CRABS! I AM GOING TO USE YOUR RECIPE!
Looks yummy, gotta try this...thanks for sharing
Wow,that is absolutely delicious, that is an excellent recipe thank you,
Im italian american and christmas eve is my holiday and i will be using this, i usually do crabs in oil and garlic over linguini, along with the other 9 seafood dishes. Going crabing sat and having stuffed crabs sat night
Man, I know those had to be good Rus. The crab meat from a seafood boil is so much tastier than the fresh or frozen crab meat you buy from the store. Stuffed crab is one of my favorites, so I really enjoyed this video. Hope you have a wonderful week!!! Cheers brother!
I totally agree, and it don't get any fresher than this Troy! It was all I could do to calm my son down when he first took a bite lol, and needless to say, they didn't last long. I did manage to get two for myself lol. Glad you enjoyed the video Troy, and you and Karen have a great week too! Thanks for watching :) Cheers!
Rus, those crabs are just beyond words. That is some work but well worth it. You are right, that sauce takes them over the top. Well done. Enjoyed. :)
+Tess Cooks 4u Thank you Tess, and yes a lot of work, but it sure was worth it :) I sure thank you for watching Tess :D
I'm from the netherlands and i get hungry when i see you make this. great!
That's a labor of love right there Rus! I would love to join you at the table with a pile of those in front of me! Wow! Great job man!
+Ballistic BBQ Thanks Greg! I would love that too brother!
Wow! I can't wait to try this
Looks amazing can almost can taste it
What's up Rus! This meal looked fantastic and I always enjoy your videos as you really take the time and provide a thorough explanation of your cook. I know that was a ton of work getting that meat out of the crabs, but I'm sure in the end it was well worth it. Keep up these great videos brother. Take care!
+Matt Covington Thanks Matt! Yes a ton of work, but the kind of work I enjoy. I think the Gumbo video I did December of 2014 was the most labor intensive video I've ever done, but your so right about it being worth the effort at the end. Cheers brother!
Looks good. Will try it.
Make a city boy like me want to come down south. Love what you're doing.
Gotta love the south, well done sir

Only in America! Yum! Great Cook! This man has a lot of patience and love for his food..
Thanks for watching
Looks really delicious.
Up here in Ontario, Canada, we don't have fresh crabs. (Turtles and pollywogs, but no crabs :-)
So we go to the local Loblaws store and buy a couple of kilos of frozen King Crab legs.
Take them home and boil them in a big pot of water. Score the shells lengthwise with an Exacto knife. Sear them on the BBQ until a nice, smoky flavour.
Then serve with melted garlic butter and a nice, cold Molson Canadian for the cook.
Cheers from Canada :-)
That's the best dish I have ever seen in my life.
OMG!! I gonna be trying this recipe for sure!
These are so good!
Looks great

I just went crabbing and we are making this today. Watched the video about 8 times love it.
Good deal! Your going to love it! Thanks for watching the video, I sure appreciate it :)
Dear God this looks amazing!
Most of my life I tried stuffed crabs at numerous restaurants and not a one was very good. Back in the fifties my father would commercial fish and often brought home lots of blue crabs. Mom would clean them and stuff the shells then deep fry. It was unbelievable how good it was. I asked her several times before she passed away for her recipe and she simply said it was crab meat, salt, pepper, cracker crumbs, onions, celery, garlic and what no other recipe calls for. A small amount of hamburger or pork sausage. Nothing else has ever come close. It was sweet, dense, and most importantly not bready as most stuffed crabs are.
Yummy !!! I must try this recipe 😉
wow that looks great, love stuffed Crab... Thanks for posting and sharing the knowledge.
Your welcome and thank you for watching!
watching the Smoky Ribs channel gave me the crabs! eheheheh, sorry had to do it.

+Hubert Shitmeyer LOL! I've had crabs all weekend, hehehe! Thanks, I sure appreciate it! My son took the time lapse video for this intro with my little GoPro camera. That was taken from the Biloxi Beach here. It turned out really good.
Thank you for the video Rus. Im from Louisiana but im stationed in Italy but your recipes always remind me of home.
+trey092001 Your welcome, and thank you for watching my videos! Glad the video brings back good memories of home! There is no other place on earth like our region here on the Coast! Wouldn't trade with anyone :)
That looks delicious 😋
Look, man, you just made me hungry. Nice video keep them coming.
this is some crisp video... nice!
I have to admit I am a Maryland crab snob but your recipe looks very yummy! Most of the time I see stuffed crab with too much bread and not enough crab seasoning. Your recipe looks very good. 👍👍👍👍👍
SON!!! Man that looks so good. I miss living at the coast and all that fresh seafood. Now I'm hungry.
Thanks, I appreciate you watching!
looks soooooo goood !!!
Great Recipe Rus.
Oh boy the bounties of mother nature.. Blue crab takes a lot of work but the flavor is worth it.

I love beef and other meats but wow Russ, you're really talking my language on this one. What a great job you did, flawless!
+Jean Croton Thank you Jean! I sure appreciate that, and thanks so much for watching :)
Do you have a recommendation for a temp and time if I wanted to finish these in the oven instead of on the grill? Thank you, looks amazing!
Hi Rus. We already watched and drooled over these crabs last night...so today I was ready for round 2 of drooling. It was cool to see how you got the meat out of them. That sauce you made just got to taste so heavenly good...in my head I was already making seafood bisque out of it...last night when I had the whiskey in my glass heh heh. Yeps this dish you made should be something I should be eating for sure ! ! Thank you for sharing. :)
+Paivi Project Thanks for watching it twice Paivi! That is awesome and glad you liked it! The sauce actually is a bisque, but I reduced it down more to thicken it up to use as a sauce. Would be great as a bisque right out of a bowl, with french bread on the side.
Love what you do!
Thanks, I appreciate that!
Wow this looks amazing!! Some quality eating as always from you! Keep it up!
Thanks, I appreciate it, and thanks for watching my videos :)
OMG, that looks amazing!!!
+TheDurhamBull Thank you! We had fun catching and cooking up the crabs :)

+Baby Back Maniac Thank you!!! I sure appreciate that :)
Of course, Thanks for taking the time to put it together. Realistically, I doubt I'll ever get a chance to try the recipe, but my inlaws are Asian so every now and then I find myself staring at a plate of crab that I have absolutely NO idea what to do with. This was really helpful!
LOL! Now you know how to get in there to the meat ;)
great job!
OMG What a great recipe
Rus! fantastic! my mouth is watering! 👍
+Stefan Meyer Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video!
You've got yourself a new subscriber!!! Love the recipes!

+MajixPlus Wow, 11 of my recipes! Thats awesome! Thanks so much for the feedback, and I know your going to love this one! May get a food truck or concession trailer when I retire :)
remember as a boy they used to tell us dead man fingers were poison, till this day if I get one in my mouth I worry. using that crab boil water was a great idea, that cream sauce looks like it took it over the edge, no doubt this was a great dish
+doublejbbq I just can't express how good this was Jimmy/Jerry! Can't repeat what my son said here, but it was funny and one heck of a compliment lol! Thanks for watching guys!
