I preferred jak 3, but I think its salty memories from the insane difficulty of jak2. its not too hard now, but when I was, like, six, it was nearly impossible.

Eco= archetypal categories of Jungian Psychology. Dark Eco: Chaos. Light Eco: Control. Green Eco: Growth: Blue Eco: Energy. Yellow Eco: Combat. Red Eco: Assertiveness. I could go on all day about the parallels between Jak and Jungian Psychology, but it all centers and begins around the central story. Daxter is Jak’s ego (the one who speaks- to the unconscious) upon reaching maturity, the ego must shrink as one enters the territory of the Shadow, allowing room for the integration of the archetypes (Misty Island is the territory of the shadow, or at least the first territory of it that Jak explores in his first step into maturity, upon coming in contact with the chaos of the shadow, the ego, aka Daxter, shrinks- as a result of Jak’s first assertive action). This moment starts Jak on a journey of integration-the journey to find the sages one by one and integrate their power into the self. Of course later we see many of the Archetypes symbolized in character form- The Father (Samos) The Warrior (later exemplified by Torn) The Gambler The Brother (Sig) The Child (Young Jak) I could easily go on. Once the integration of the first game is complete, Jak is ready to face the Jungian Shadow, which is what Jak II is all about. Here we see shadow forms of the characters- The Shadow of The King (Praxis) Shadow of the Ego (Erol) The Anima (Ashlynn) And so on. Jak III is the journey toward the integration of both sides of the archetypes in pursuit of finding the true/higher self.... Aka: Mar.
