I don't have a TC Golden Plexi anymore but to my ear this sounds pretty great.

Nice 👍. This is a great pedal to roll up and down with the volume knob.
Love this pedal, my go to distortion, I can even see the little red led clipping from the side of the knob

Edit: i've had this pedal for some time i really enjoy it. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a plexi clone. It has a great King Diamond tone

Wow, a lot of gain, but it doesn't mask the notes, & it cleans up when you roll down guitar's volume, excellent, great demo & playing Shane, hopefully the next time you come to Florida, my wife , Deb, & I will have a chance to meet you & maybe jam a little!!!!

The most closely sound of the Plexi Black Flag of Johan Segeborn ever!
Been looking for a cheap plexi sound - this may have it!
Right off the bat before the playing starts they should of added a 3rd option to the mini toggle switch so you could have it sound like a Plexi with the 2 channels jumped with a patch cable.

Most Plexi pedals sound nothing like the real thing. This nails it. The bright switch seems to be the secret sauce.
How does this pedal compare to the Caline English Man?

That sounds wicked good... I have a golden plexi by tone city. My only complaint with it is the volume control... I don't know if mine is defective or what but I have to have the volume on the pedal almost off and its loud as hell through my deluxe.. this plexion seems a lot better in that respect.. might have to pick one up
Dan_Sullivan Sounds like maybe the new guy used the wrong pot for the volume knob?
I did think of that, but I'm a complete dunce when it comes to electronics.. I have seen several videos of the golden plexi and never saw that as a problem, so I think mine is just gooched.

This pedal was on my live rig board for a while, but it is super noisy. I loved the sound and it has killer sustain, but the volume knob goes from little to too much too easy, its hard to get just right. In the U.S. the company that makes it is called Talent, but it is the exact same pedal. I think I paid $25 U.S. new. I think its a great pedal for home and studio, but has too many issues for a live setup.
Would you recommend this for a bass?
