    Thank you Nils. I have an R175 Rider (Australian model) and it looks pretty much the same. Very helpful video. :)

      Glad I could help! However, I think your rider has a different deck, might be similar enough for this to still help.

      @@NilsKall Not as similar as I thought at first but good enough! And your tip to inspect the deck before just replacing the belt was good advice. I found other issues.

    Jaki inny agregat tnący pasuje do Rider 16?

    I have a question
    What other cutting unit fits the Rider 16?"

    • @NilsKall
      @NilsKall  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Hi! This cutting deck doesn’t fit the Rider 16. Rider 16 came with rear 97, bio 103, combi 103 and perhaps 97 side discharge on some markets.

    I really appreciate these videos. Really well done and useful. I have a Rider 155, the one with the pull-out pin on the left rear to disengage the clutch. Do you know which belt goes on the upper, and which on the lower pully, at mid-body?

    • @NilsKall
      @NilsKall  Před rokem +1

      Hi! Great to hear you like my Rider videos! The belt going forward towards the cutting deck is on the lower pulley of the center double pulley.

      @@NilsKall Thanks for the help. Mine had come off somehow just as I was finishing up cutting the other day, and I didn't even notice (had to search for it in the yard when I later discovered it missing). I realized it was missing while installing new blades as the front belt slipped off the middle pulley also. Long story short, I put the front belt on top and, once finding the back belt, put it on the bottom. When I started the mower, the back belt was engaged enough to be moving even though I had the deck up. I hope this was because of me using the wrong pulleys...I'll find out today when I try to fix it ;)

    • @NilsKall
      @NilsKall  Před rokem

      @@brazzesr that could be the issue or perhaps you routed the rear belt on the wrong side of the tensioner pulley?

    • @brazzesr
      @brazzesr Před rokem

      @@NilsKall It's on the inside of the tensioner, but tight enough with deck up to still drive the deck blades. Just for sanity, the middle belt isn't supposed to turn without the tensioner pressed on it, right, or is there a PT clutch in there I don't know about? I can't get the blades to disengage--driving me crazy ;)

    • @NilsKall
      @NilsKall  Před rokem +1

      @@brazzesr The tensioner is the ”pto” clutch in this system. There should be a belt guard behind the motor, they sometimes ensure that the belt doesn’t turn when not stretched. Also check that the tensioner pulley moves freely, there is a grease nipple for the arm that is often neglected, that could cause it to not fully disengage when lifting the deck.

    How can I tighten that middle belt with the geaurd that turns on the blades where's the tensioner

    • @NilsKall
      @NilsKall  Před 8 měsíci

      Hi the tensioner is at the back close to the engine on the left side of the machine. It can get stuck if it is not greased properly. I talk about this at 9:25 in this video:
