- Born and bred New Yorker Scarr Pimentel's Chef's Night Out in New York City was a homecoming like no other. Scarr, the chef and co-owner of Scarr's Pizza in the Lower East Side, is known for hand milling the wheat for his pies in the basement of the restaurant, making him one of the hardest working pizzaiolas around. On his night off, gathers up some old friends to visit his former stomping grounds.

"I'm a simple guy, i like simple things" wears a make ass great again hat, he knows his priorities
Moritz Bunse It says make asses real again I think. 😂
Thats hilarious I didn't even notice that. I totally agree though; ass implants are weird, unnecessary and disgusting, imo.
eat the cake
Real*
Prioritizies real (ie large) posteriors, AND simple but quality ny pizza. You BET he does
Likeable, real and unpretentious group of blokes. So rare to see a group of people like these guys represented on Chefs Night Out.
Right….
Aside from Action Bronson; this is definitely one of my favorite Munchies episodes. "Mel Gibson is Australian."
Idk what about this video but it just felt authentic, need more vids like this on CZcams smh
Check out First We Feast channel
I definitely agree
Yeah, I got that vibe too. Most of the other chefs from the other Munchies episodes are like "this is my business associate" or whatever, but these guys were just boys from back in the day so none of their interactions seemed forced. And all the places they hit up seemed like neighborhood joints regular people go to. Don't get me wrong, some of the hipster spots from the other episodes look delicious too, but it's nice to see spots regular people go to too.
They're not trying to impress anyone. The other chefs are always trying to flex with who they know or their access to certain spots.
"I got 6 different animals trynna digest in my stomach rn" Thats my dream to say sumn like that 😂😂😂
I relate to this chefs night out the most....
88deeep Okay same
+Ayoub lmao nah bro, just not into that whole hipster ting and like the fact he's making up shop where he grew up..... He does comes off a lil gay tho
Apart from the having friends part I'm guessing.
@Ayoub cringe
You know the spots lit when Larry's in there
1:40 I thought the baby was grabbing that slice
SitOnMeIDontKir 😂😂😂
Yup, it took me time to realize it's the dad ^^
the baby like the fukk? I'm down here nigga
and boiling oil in the baby's eye. ah!!!!
@@sergiogarcia718 🤣🤣🤣
i love that real moment at the end
you only dissect something so trivial and 'mundane' with a good mate, sipping henny when the whole party dies down
shit's what the best memories are made of
this is the most Authentic NY episode yet.
gotPHONICKS What about the Paulie Gee episode?
nice to see a bunch of guys, just out having some harmless fun, and celebrating.
By far, my favorite episode because of its authenticity!
When you eat at Scarrs, you are eating authentic American food
Lol, dude legitimately caught feelings when they called him a Kid Rock fan.
make asses real again
Freakyfridge _les on IG has them.
finally some real New York episode with guys that don't sell hipster shit in the bay area
Zacapa Havana organic is not hipster?
they are honest about it, they wanna use organic product to be different from the other slice shops
but some bay area guys we often saw here just used it to be more fancy
Juan De La Paz Not at all, hipster would be an organic pizza with pretentious ingredients that don't need to be there and cost $30
100%
Zacapa Havana i
You guys inspire me to follow my dream and open a shop like yours in my home city. I hope I can achieve it one day.
did u achieved it ????
I loved this episode over the other ones because for someone who doesn't want to go to a more upscale fine dining restaurant. It's nice to see these guys hitting up local affordable spots.
Yes indeed! A lot of the times hosts are going "i've actually never been here before but heard it's the place to be" fuck that, show us where you eat!
dudes are strait up gay for eachother lmaoo
This channel is absolutely fantastic and it always makes me hungry! Keep up the good work!
this ep is different. I like it.

Swear I’ve watched this episode like 5 times... all my kinda food choices!
Love these guys. So real so chill so good
Really enjoyed this episode
For me as an European this is how I imagine America at it’s best
just discovered this series/show and boy oh boy is it amazing!!
Subscribing to Muchies = One of my best decisions ever 👌🏾 I love food and experiencing different places/cultures... Munchies gives me the best of both worlds hands down
This was the NYC I remember. Bet it was the least expensive Night Out they did. Great, guys. How we used to eat int the day. Oh, and his pizza is gorgeous.
For a budget oriented real deal, this is my kind or Chef's night out. Will check these places, when In NYC.
Great episode...
Beautiful. Loved this video.
Love the little bar in the back, good pizza too
I love New York. such a classic city
dont nobody forget how fire the beats on that portishead album were
3:28 the face you make when you go to a pizza joint and ur mate orders a Vegan Salad.
DarshUK Gaming heavily dusted with yeast
Mel Gibson was born in the US, but was raised in Australia. He considers himself American & Australian. It also depends on the media.. if his career is going sky high he's "American". But when he went through that *jew hating scandal*, he was considered as "Australian".. funny how things work out
He was born in upstate New York but move to Australia with his family at young age if u born in the States u still an American citizen
born newyork = american. no other xcuses will be accepted. the born in is what counts, not where you grew up. i can say i was born uk but live in the netherlands. would be dumb if i said i was boen uk grew up there then moved over, sounds silly since then you wonder did he grow up there as well or what?
these guys are so lit i cant even
Greetings, I've always wanted to visit NYC, and this is exactly how I've imagined true food from that city.
Good episode, makes me feel at home
Give these guys a show!

One of the better episodes to date
Went to Malecon last month; Just like I remember!!
This place used to be right off the corner from my apartment, and the chicken used to come REAL cheap with some DAMN GOOD sauce on the side.
“2 cylinder v2” I’m Fkn dead
Some good peeps and cool ass people with a dope spot to eat! Cheers!
Wow. I love the vibes. New York is AWESOME.....Gotta stop bye Scarr's when I visit in 2023
Scarr's, Johnny's Reef and Malecon, here I come! Good episode.
This is the content I crave
Best way to cook, wasted, it is fun the food turns out great and tastes good and the company and friends appreciates it too. Way cool man.
I’d love to hang out with these dudes. They seem real and cool af.
Classic! Real New Yorkers!
I really enjoyed this....
Finally some down to earth regular dudes
Nothing better than sharing food with friends. Great ep!
When you eat at Scarrs you are sharing good vibes
Great people, very nice guys
"... someone got out of jail" lol :)
That's how you know someone really likes pizza. NY Pizza is best with just dough, sauce, and cheese. The way the sauce combines with the cheese and the way the oven toasts the cheese (when there's no toppings blocking it), all on a nice thin crust. It's just the best. You don't need to load it up with a bunch of bullshit.
Also, i've been to Johnny's Reef and Seafood City. Those places are weird. It's cafeteria style and really ghetto, but you're being charged the same overpriced City Island price without being waited on. It just leaves you with a weird ripped off type of feeling.
Simple pies are bomb. What's your favorite spot then? The rest of the shit is just a cherry on top.
Its literally FRESH seafood from outside the front door and you're complaining? I'd gladly pay the premium...
He did say it was expensive dude, you watch the video?
I couldn’t agree more, totally weird spot... everything just tasted over fried to me
I've heard it's the water. Thin n crisp but sturdy so when you fold it the orange grease just pools in the middle. NY City pizza is the best of the 10 states I've tried pizza.
Hands down the most food ever consumed on a chef's night out episode...
No bullshit. A Dominican keep an Italian classic real. Why I love my city. Good one. Gibson was Australian but raised in Peekskill fam
Love the Larry David joke @ 9:36
el malecon brings back so many childhood memories, a neighborhood institution
LEGENDARY LOS!
Clam and garlic pizza is my all time favorite!
@12:12 *Yessssss! I don’t like dark meat either. There is a difference.* Nice to watch them enjoy themselves and drop tips.
Scarr's is the real deal. So damn good.
"I didnt mean to getrify malecom" lmaoo
PRETTY GOOD EPISODE
That Johnnys Reef though 😍🤤🤤🤤 if I ever make it to NYC, I know the spots I wanna go for real 😭
Cheers!
Cool times!
yo this looks amazing. if I'm ever in need York I'm stopping by

YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Some Bronx food!
Finally an episode with some cool people.

As a Dominican, this makes me happy.

Best chefs night out episode in a long time...real people and real food. Got abit annoyed with all the gourmet hipsters sipping wine...
I actually really enjoyed this. Gave me an insight to New York, the little spots nobody outside NY knows about with just a buncha dude having a good time. Well done Vice.
