- A #climate activist wrestled a microphone away from #gretathunberg over pro-Palestine chants at an Amsterdam rally, telling her he came for a “demonstration, not a political view”.
Ms Thunberg’s speech was briefly interrupted by the incident on Sunday, which saw the middle-aged man climb on stage before grappling with her in front of thousands of onlookers.
The crowd were chanting “#Palestine will be free” as he clambered up to confront the 20-year-old Swedish activist.
"I have come here for a climate demonstration, not a political view", he said, as he unsuccessfully tried to rip the microphone from her before being dragged away.
Appearing unshaken by the incident, Ms Thunberg told the protester to "calm down."

I think the climate movement should be a pro peace movement. The amount of pollution being generated by was is far greater then any cow farts combined.

I wrote this under a comment but I thought I would post it here, because I think this is important to explain.
This (Israel/Palestine) may seem like a different unrelated topic, and not like an environmentalist topic, but there's something important to understand: Climate justice movement is a justice movement.
The climate justice movement is not just whatever green movement, but specifically is a justice movement, at core. They will support other justice movements like antiracism, indigenous rights, and people in oppressive regime countries. They will campaign to free political prisoners and advocate freedom of speech: freedom to protest and criticise leaders.
I have multiple friends who travel (by train to the capital) to these protests. They are the same movement.
There were lots of protests in support of Iranians, too, when Taleban rose to power. They were in support of the women's rights rebellion in Iran. Same growd here.
