Lauri and Aki of The Rasmus visited on the morning show "Aamu-TV" on March 31st, 2017. Rights of the interview owned by YLE Finland. The end credit song by Arion.
28 years old, I became a Rasmus' fan when I was 15 ;) I was FINALLY able to see them live last year, I traveled from Brazil to Argentina. It was totally worth it and I cannot waaaaait to see them playing live again ♥
Thank you for the translation! Didn't know Lauri has moved to California, that's the second Finnish musician I know, the first one is Gas from HIM. Lauri is right, some people consider Finland as paradise, cuz I am seriously considering moving up to this wonderland. It's a bit sad when Aki mentioned HIM's break-up. I always feel in HIM, the vibes between members have been subtly changing, I can feel from interviews and gigs in recent years that they are together just for the sake of being together, I don't see very much friendship or brotherhood in their interactions, which is really sad. Many of my favorite Finnish bands are parting ways, maybe it's just because people grow and want to do different things than they were younger. I am glad there are still bands like Rasmus and 69Eyes are still "brotherly" together, and making fabulous music.
Phoebe Z Lauri moved with Paula and Julius to California to have a happy family life while Paula was working there. But i heard they broke up last year, so I'm not sure where Paula and Julius are living now xx
Phoebe Z I imagine Paula is still living there and Lauri chose to stay there to continue to be close to his son. I suppose they like it there since they're quite private people and prefer the anonymity for Julius growing up. As in Finland they're likely very known due to both of their careers.
hi, you have fans also in Malta and i am one of them, cant wait for your new album after so many years. love you Rasmus forever. your music touched my heart and gave me new meaning in life to go on,
Is good you guys back with new album I'm your followers since 2003 I was 13 years old now I'm 28....your new song paradise wonderman and empire so awesome I really enjoy with your music one day I will go to Europe watching you singing live someday.. And I'm from malaysia
I agree thanks for the translation, but also you have fans who are ummm a bit older than you think. Like 53! I love you guys! Thank you for your music !
What an insightful interview! thanks for the translation. That's totally not the vibe I get from Paradise though. As a common theme with the Rasmus, it's waaaaayyyyy darker than ' I am from Finland and I moved to California ', " I'm dead but I'm living' 'dont call paramedics' 'everyday is a battle, made a deal with the devil.'
Gosh Lauri moved to LA, Aki is getting married, they've grown up so much. I've been a fan since 8th grade in the early 2010's and they've changed so much I'm so excited for the new album and hopefully they tour in the USA, I've been dying to see a show of theirs but i cant necessarily fly to another country. Im 19 years old and i hope they stick around for awhile.
Thank you! I'm gonna definitely check them out. I've always loved Finnish bands. Fun fact: my current favourite Polish band is Exlibris, and their current singer is from Finland (Riku Turunen). Coincidence? :D
her: "do your fans from Australia still remember you after your 5 year hiatus" (paraphrasing)
Me: *screaming at the monitor* YES!
I'm a fan and I'm 51m I have been following the Rasmus since 2004, I have seen them live 4 times. Such an amazing atmosphere at their gigs xx
I'm 25, I've been a fan since 2003. I can't belive they're back!

Hieno haastattelu. Itselle on The Rasmus on aina napannut, mutta syvemmin löysin musiikin sanojen kautta.🪶🖤

Waiting in South Korea (( guess you won't visit us
What are their songs in Finnish?
A Finlândia é linda mas a língua finlandesa é difícil heim
What is the name of the song at the end?
It's "Burn Your Ship" by Arion. Great Finnish band, they have some brilliant songs. czcams.com/video/iFkiD-9jLvI/video.html
