Option programming Bang & Olufsen devices that has infrared receiver

Here I explain how to option programme your Bang & Olufsen unit using a Beo4 remote control.
If you unit does not respond to the remote, it is because it is in option 0, which causes it to not receive commands from the remote.
Simply set it to option 1 or 2, and you are good to go.

every 3-4 months my Beosound 9000 will refuse to play CDs for no reason and i just apply what is said in that video and BIM it now works for the next 3 months. Thank you so much ! i don't quite understand why it's happening but it's good now !!!!

This also works on beosound 4 i figured.
I couldent change the sound and remote didnt respond.
I couldn't find any info about the problem, so i gave this a try.
And wow, it worked!
So strange to me, that it HAS to be configured with a remote, before any sound options(even volume) respond even on the unit itself...

Hello! How to pairing with beolab 3500mk1?If I not use masterlink cable is impossible to pairing with remote? I want to use my unit with mcl to Rca cable without masterlink. (Use with non Beo unit) Now the unit not responde the remote. Best regards

I'm currently experiencing an issue when trying to setup my Beo4 remote with a Beolab 3500 (mark 2) that I'm gone use as you in stand alone through PL SEL mode. When going into the option then A.OPT and pressing 2, the 3500 does not blink
