Yamaha Kodiak 400 Service - Differential Fluids

ATV's are essential to working on the off grid cabin property, and they are just fun to ride.
I haven't been able to find good documentation on this exact machine, The Grizzlies are a little different, so we are going to cover the fluid changes, and basic maintenance of this durable machine.

Very nice tutorial. Only thing I would like to add is that a very smart jet mechanic taught me when I was young was to always be sure the filler cap breaks loose before you drain the fluid. Something to think about for any application.

I have old Snap on torque wrenches, bought them years ago at a pawn shop and i think 81 and 83 They both passed Chrysler and Roush Racing calibration test with flying colors, Good Video. Thanks

I just bought one with no rear dif. I ordered one but is there a shaft in the rear that connects the rear diff yoke to another one in front of it???

I use Amsoil Synthetic Motor oils and All Fluids on all my Cars, Trucks, Motorhome And five bikes. I have used it since the mid seventies. It’s awesome stuff and you can be a dealer if you want. They can help you with That. Great Vid. Beautiful woman in the intro.
