  • EASY DIY! Amazing result at the end!!
    Have you ever done some painting in clothes that you really shouldn't have been doing work in?
    I have...in fact I just did!
    So I thought I could keep my paint stained black hoodie either for working in or throw it away (either way a waste of money) - or I could try and get the dried paint stain out and just keep it, which is what I decided to do!
    Now, this can seem like an impossible task at first but I discovered a Secret Weapon in the fight against Dried Paint Stains!
    Watch it turn my black hoodie from work top to normal top (and save me the cost of buying a new one!) 👍
    THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

    Amazing. A miracle. So quick, so easy and to think I thought I would not be able to get paint out of a sleeve of a hoodie as it had dried and had been sitting for a couple of weeks while not knowing what to do and thinking it would not be able to be removed. I used the method of using a spoon to loosen the paint and used 70% isopropyl alcohol that I had on hand and with little effort the paint dissolved and transferred from off the sleeve onto the spoon as I scraped the alcohol saturated painted portion of the sleeve with the spoon and then wiped the paint from off the spoon onto a paper towel. The hoodie has been restored to pre-paint condition with no damage to the cotton fabric. Thank you for your generosity of time, effort, and knowledge in making and posting this video. Many blessings.

    Truly does work (I wasn't a believer at first)! Just tried it on paint stains to skirt part of a dress. Rubbed against a wall that was newly painted. This happened over 4 years ago.😮
    I soaked the 3 spots with 91% rubbing alcohol isopropyl. Started with a toothbrush, then a dime coin (this really got the paint moving). I know😮, spoon would have been better to not damage/ruffle the threads. Nonetheless, with a little elbow grease, IT ALL CAME OUT!! So shocked and ever sooo grateful!!! Thank you. May your sharing and kindness be reciprocated. Sometimes I don't know that content creators know the blessing of help and assistance they give out to the world. It's a beautiful thing. • @MarkdoesDIY
      @MarkdoesDIY  Před rokem +1

      @@ubaidullahtahir4814 I would try it with the Isopropyl Alcohol first, maybe a couple of times (it won't hurt the jacket), then if that doesn't work it is probably oil based paint. For oil based paint try scraping off as much of the paint as you can with a spoon , then gently rubbing the stain with turpentine (or paint thinner or white spirit) and a small brush to remove what is left. After the turpentine stage has removed most of the stain soak the jacket in soapy water for an hour or so, then wash/clean it as you normally would. Cheers and good luck! 👍

    tried half of your method, but! soup liquid does it as well as soup power, and using the hot water
    even soften it up with paint stripper for bushes, step 1. and spoon over the top to open up the paint
    Then washing up liquid, and done job!
    The old tooth brush, at the end to wash out the rest and done.

I think this fact must be held in mind when using isopropyl alcohol as a cleaning fluid and then washing and perhaps drying the item in a washer/dryer.

    Just come across this video now.
    I have an acrylic paint drip on a inside roller blind from a few weeks ago. Try to cleaning it straight after it happened, but still has the stain mark.
    The only positive is, it taught me a lesson for not removing the blind before painting the wall.
    Will be popping into Bunnings on the way home from work for some Isopropyl Alcohol. Will let you know how it goes 🤞

      Did you put in the washing machine after as I wanna use this method but it’s on suede boots, Mrs spilt black chalk paint while at work doing the notice board an she isn’t happy so wanna fix it for her, if you didn’t wash your blind did your blind leave a stain from the rubbing alcohol as I don’t want to ruin her Dr martens.

    I was trying to get paint out of my pants before a interview tomorrow, I don't have the right type of alcohol and it's an old stain at this point but it did get a little bit out of it, so it should be less noticeable if I use that pair thanks for the tip!

    Just got some non water based paint off sleeve that had been dry for 2 years or more. I tried all of the above but ended up using white spirits (with the toothbrush of course..), and washed it on a hot cycle afterwards. It worked..but the washing machine and of course the shirt smells strongly of white spirits. Working on that now...!

    Hi Mark, thanks for the tips! I have some paint stain on my pants from a leather armchair. I tried your method but the stain is still there. I'm guessing the paint for furniture is different? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks mate.

    • @MarkdoesDIY
      @MarkdoesDIY  Před 4 lety +2

      Hi X, yes that one is a bit trickier, other than the home remedies of # equal parts water and white vinegar or #. bi carb soda (baking soda). Also, it may be the leather that has stained your pants or the surface paint from the chair but if the Isopropyl Alcohol hasn't worked then I'm not sure. Good luck. Cheers and thanks for watching!
