I've been trying to get more information about these for a while, and according to the emergency management director, these were taken offline in 2019 when they upgraded to newer sirens. They plan to take them down when the budget allows.
I've been there too! It is pretty sad to see the condition of these sirens. It's weird that the control boxes are on the ground, and it's also pretty weird to see the wires pulled out and completely disconnected. As of 8 months ago, they were on the pole. I wonder if they fell off or if someone took them down. They also would have had to pull out the wires, so I'd like to think it was the city, but it could have been anyone. Hopefully they can sell these to some enthusiasts or bring them back to life in their system.
Yup it's inactive. Back in 2019 they installed 2001-130's and Modulator II 8032B's. I remember it was active right when during the Tornado Warning sense maybe 2015. Also I live in Denison too that my dad lives in denison now.

Shame that it’s inactive, that would be a cool one to hear in person
Definitely would be neat to hear. Not sure how long these have been unused for, probably over 10 years though.
