As someone from modern day Lombardy I really appreciate the story of the lombardic people is really Interesting "the choosen warriors of thor". Sadly they leaved too little of their language despite our dialects and the italian inherited some words. Btw their name was Langbartenland it would have been cooler to be seen rather then Lombardy
Lombardy is basically the Italian version. If you look at culture in the north they are called langabeared or something to that affect

The bigger cities (Level 5-7 castles), complete with ~90 new 3d models for the larger castles and walls, is from my mod Cities of Wonder 3 (COW3). More Bookmarks+ includes COW3 so that you don't have to download both of them separately.
I love this start date so much, playing as Dal Riata (kingdom of the isles, which weirdly is a separate title that has led to some interesting successions) with inherichance and I really love how small and isolated you start but by 150 or so years later I am a dominant power in the British isles.
I would really love to watch a grand campaign from ck3 to vic3 that would be great
A bit late from me, but hopefully it helps someone. If you usurp the Papal States from the Pope, it becomes the Kingdom of Romagna (I've even seen in the tooltip that under Pope it is the Anointed Kingdom of Romagna), so it will not cause issues. Plus if you usurp the title lower or equal to your primary one, it will not take preference, so it will not cause any problems at all

I highly suggest you try the Byzantines in this start date and have Iconoclasm be the dominant faith over traditional Orthodoxy

oh, I remember trying to revive the Merovingian dynasty in this mode through their last representative, who, unfortunately, was a monk. Even changing the confession didn’t help, I had to use the console.
Talking about monk as a king, I just wanna share one of run. So my middle son is a zealous with high martial and learning. But my heir had the highest diplomacy, I then tried to get him into a monk but its only 80%, when I offer him to join the holy order, its 100%. But before sending him there, I already put him as the claimant for the crusade. And we won. Just before I got the pop up that we won, I sent him to the holdy order 😂
And we now have the Holy Order of Gallicia, just like the Teutonic Order 😅 when he died, all of his land will be going to my son. Sadly my heir died first, my middle son live the longest, almost 100, and he also expanded a lot. Taking almost all of Spain
