    President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. delivers an arrival statement upon his return to the country on 16 March 2024 following his Working Visit to Berlin, Germany and State Visit to Prague, Czech Republic.
    The President shares the outcomes of his successful back-to-back visits in the two European countries that aimed to strengthen the Administration’s commitment to enhancing global ties and strategic partnerships, as well as create opportunities for cooperation and prosperity.
    The Chief Executive's trip to Berlin centered on matters mutual for both the Philippines and Germany, such as upholding the rule of law and fostering a rules-based international system. The visit also focused on enhancing cooperation in peace, development, defense, maritime affairs, trade, investment, raw materials, renewable energy, climate change and labor.
    The Philippines emphasized its commitment to clean energy and welcomed German investments in green projects.
    In the Czech Republic, he explored ways to boost bilateral ties in trade, investment, defense, agriculture, renewable energy, transport and cultural exchange. He highlighted the Philippines' impressive economic growth and encouraged Czech businesses to invest in sectors like information technology-business process management (IT-BPM), electronics, manufacturing, food and agriculture, and automotive manufacturing.
    President Marcos Jr. also met with German and Czech business leaders who expressed interest in investing and expanding operations in the Philippines. Their meetings yielded various agreements for significant projects in pivotal sectors.
    Capping off his trip, he spent time with the Filipino communities in Berlin and Prague, where he reassured the government's unwavering commitment to creating more job opportunities and improving the Philippine economy for the welfare of every Filipino.
