    I wasn’t at Woodstock or Monterey or any other big event, but I was at Winterland SF when Peter recorded “Frampton Comes Alive!”
    Lucky me -we had no idea they were recording it for an album!

      Was Bill Graham there? I think he was. Saw the Oakland Coliseum “day on the green” show with Frampton and Fleetwood Mac. fantastic

      I did not see Bill Graham there but he probably was. I saw him at the Fillmore all the time.

    I was just thinking about when I used to drive around in the late 70's listening to the radio and all of a sudden a tune like this one would come on and man would I get excited about it, sing along etc. Had to listen to some other tunes I didnt care for at all before the good one like a Frampton tune came on. Then all of a sudden you hear the first chord and there you go! Instant excitement! Now you just put what you like on. There is no waiting. I kinda like the waiting. It's the easiest part!

    Fantastic, thanks for all the details about the chords and the options! I actually got here by way of the privettricker "Concrete and Clay" video, which was also very helpful to me-then I watched the final privettricker video. Sorry to hear you got so much hassle five years ago, man, but when I searched for James James, I was thrilled to find you're still doing it-and with my favorite Frampton song, no less. Many, many thanks.

    capo at 5th fret sounds pretty sweet the D shape g sounds better if you use that bass note on the low e. You still get that d as the A shape like you did but can bang the whole chord out. if anyone interested then you have cowboy chords e shape is the a. d shape the g. F#min shape the bmin that's about it... oh yea the bflat and the c become the F and G and that other chord that is like the g6 could also be the amin11 so the alt chord maybe e minor 11 or just e minor of sort like suspended has that 11th

      @@jamesjames9275 Right on, I don't actually know, I just thought I'd add to the conversation. My thoughts are with an acoustic trying to keep any strings open if possible. Thanks for posting these videos though, my playing most definitely benefits from your playing.

    What strings do you use on your acoustics?

    • @jamesjames9275
      @jamesjames9275  Před 3 lety +1

      It depends on the guitar. For the Martin (fingerpicking), I'd go a little lighter, but for a strumming guitar (J200) I go around .13.
