Andrea Duarte Thanks for bringing me back with the like... so much going on i forgot. Definitely strikes a cord and tugs at the heartstrings. And man, the album art is so fantastic. I think it might be the best I've ever seen as it so fits the title... cant wake up and the songs tie right into it. Yet the art alone is so mesmerizing in a surreal and psychedelic way. I still can't stop the haunting of the guns and gardens performance at the small chapel. He performed Cops n Robbers then a John Prine song. Been listening to JP since i was 6... so since 1976 and Shakey is the 1st I've ever seen to do a JP song justice. In fact once he really gets into it... wow. He adds dimension and depth plus a sadness/emotion which is unbelievable. Even cops and robbers made me cry. Check out shakey graves guns and gardens 2 song performance.

im going to see him later this evening.. man.. I hope the energy and songs are a little more up to par with what shaky has been known as and respected for... Progression and change is needed, indeed, but... Im not into this new stuff and his energy... sorry.. just being real... His earlier music was so much better.. play well tonight Shaky.. PLZ :)
I totally agree. I'm seeing him in SF next week and the album he released after I bought the ticket I don't like nearly as much as his older stuff. How was your show??
omfg... he KILLED it during the second half... the first half of the set was him and the band.. I didnt really like it at all... BUT HOLY SHITCAKES BATMAN, when it was just him... HE SLAYED... such a good show!!!!
Also, the opener that night.... stellar band “The Kids” were great as well.. I’m pretty sure they were a local Athens, GA band. Haven’t had much time to look into them... the live set and energy overall was impressive... front girl/singer played the guitar behind her head/upside down.. great performance... check em out! 4 days till A Perfect Circle!

Built from the bones of Slay Time Blonde! And some of the guitar parts are very (very) Rotten Ol Me -esque. Ahh can't wait for the full album !
