Going through a hard time doesn't justify toxic behavior; he probably only wanted forgiveness because he needed a place to stay. Just because you forgive someone doesn't automatically grant them re-entry into your life.

I was a bit shocked that they forgive John since he deserted his family. Usually, not everybody forgives.
When you run away from trouble, trouble is still there, it just gets bigger. Like a snowball rolling down a mountain. It will bury you. A loving family is hard to find, be real with them if you are going through something. If you can't, find a good counselor, not the empty side of a bottle, it will leave you empty. I know from personal experience.

While I do agree it gets annoying that hard working jobs can make you irritable that's still not an excuse at all to just leave your family like that.
"Husband Leaves Wife And Daughter And Regrets It" Not really sure John really regrets it considering two months after cruelly abandoning his family, they forgive him on the grounds of him "going through a hard time." As if that justifies him taking his frustrations out on his wife and daughter.

He got upset at his wife over some petty stuff, especially something that isn't worth getting upset about, and walks out on his wife and daughter . But it wouldn't hurt for him to apologize and they work it out .

Jerk never appreciated his wife and daughter, it's little wonder why he wanted to leave them!! His mentality is really old-fashioned and judgemental. He needs to reflect on his words and choices before it's too late to salvage the relationship!!
You don't know what you got until it's gone
If he wanted to come back into his family he needed to do more than just ask for forgiveness. Like maybe he could have started returning phone calls, sending money to them even if they didn't need it for the times he should have provided for them. Sometimes, just "I'm sorry" isn't enough. And for those who are really sorry and can do more than just say it, they are glad to do things to back those words up.

I understand that he was going through a lot but it doesn’t mean you are rude and disrespectful and mean towards your family.take some time to calm down or do something that you like that relaxes you.just don’t take your anger out on your family.they didn’t do nothing,he was getting mad at them for stupid reasons like the daughter just wanted her dad to read her cover letter to see if it was good and the mom explained why she couldn’t get groceries like she had to help a friend.he was overreacting.
No one was thinking about his needs, stresses, no one had time for him, wife had time for friends dog, but not for getting and preparing him a meal after a long day at work they didn't even check what was happening in his life at work.
The daughter 23 years old neither she nor her mother working to help, but she getting into discussions with her parents.
And it is obvious that she is ganging up wit her mother against the dad.

A similar thing happened to one of my personal training students. Her mother was always putting her down. After graduating from university she went to stay with her mother for a bit but her mother started laying on constant criticism. She walked out. A while later she ended up being one of my fitness students, by this time she had a daughter.
One day in the park she met her mother who started laying into her saying she was still overweight, unemployed and no man would marry her. My student took off her baggy coat and said "I have this super cool personal trainer called James Bond and I have a figure most women would kill for trust me she did! I am working on a good salary and my husband is very successful in his own business."
Then out of the blue, her daughter comes up and says "Mummy who is this?" My student replied "Just some nasty stranger. I've told you not to speak to strangers. Let's go." Then the mother says "Is this your daughter? Am I a grandmother?" My student replies "I won't let you to do her what you did to me. If you even try to go anywhere near her I'll call the police."
Two days later her brother-in-law who is a lawyer files for a restraining order.

The wife had her reasons, like she was helping a neighbor and he could have just been patient, she also works hard around the house which he took for granted. Not having a meal prepared for you when you get home is no excuse for treating your family badly and then just abandoning him the way he did, he was mean and selfish. And there was nothing wrong with the daughter sticking up for her mother to her father.
