I think that when poppy named her album “ ZIG” she chose that name because the definition of zig is “sharp and angles and turns” going in different directions just like like the music she is producing now and how I think overall the album will be I love it 🖤

Super criminal, she should be above taylor swift in popularity. Maybe the problem is not having a clue what you are doing, taylor knows exactly whst shes doing it, keeps doing it, perfects it. Poppy, just doesnt wear pants and every song is a different genre, and while that is amazing, doesnt have the reach someone more grounded in music and your own musical idenity has.

Love that Babymetal has evolved into their own genre cuz they have straight up gone way beyond being just gimmick metal Amaze project, right past Bebop and Post Genre, into yup, that's Babymetal. When I first started seeing stuff off I Disagree, I immediately thought, oh, nice, darker Babymetal vibes.
Baby metal and poppy metal are kinda the same genre but I bet a collab would be cute asf.
I love Poppy and this song is kinda funny because she's critique the way people view her in this track. Like basically viewing someone personally on either the way they dress or what music they play or listen too. Nobody should be judged i think is the point of this song if you listen to the lyrics.

I saw her at Rockville and her show was amazing i had only heard of her peripherally before that and now she is on almost every playlist i have.

I am not a hard metal music lover by any means, but as Poppy has transitioned to different types of genres of music, I've followed and loved everything, and think it's cause she's so unique, and puts so much heart into her work. This song is great. Jarring, but also really good! 💖
I wouldn't say this is hard Metal not even sure it can be called Metal at all but then again Metal is the only genre I listen to so maybe because I'm used to like Lorna Shore, Slaughter To Prevail, Infant Annihilator, Suicide Silence, that kind of Deathcore super heavy stuff maybe I just forgot that soft Metal is still heavy to those not used to the style of music?

This is more 'Soft Metal', I feel. More electronic with metal elements. Then again, I can't fault you, you said you're not a hard metal music lover, so I won't expect you to differentiate or give you a hard time. I agree that she does put a lot of heart and soul into her songs and she's definitely unique and I like that she tries new things!
Definitely more hard rock than metal I believe, explains why you like it. I like metal but not screamo. However vocalists who scream can be great. System of a Down and Tool are two prime examples, if any non metal fan will learn to like metal it is through them for sure. Voices of an angel. Tool's singer is known to be one of the best vocalists in all of rock.
