  • Tahini sauce is a popular sauce/ dressing used in lebanese cuisine made using sesame seeds. This sauce is made with a mix of sesame seeds, garlic, salt and olive oil that is nicely blended and used as a topping on many non-vegetarian dishes. Serve with some great falafel, shawarma or rotis.
    Ingredients:
    Lemon juice 3 Tablespoons
    Chopped garlic 1 Tablespoons
    Salt To Taste
    Sesame seeds 1 Cup
    Olive oil 3 Tablespoons
    Directions:
    1. Raw Sesame seeds, salt, water, chopped garlic, lemon juice all of them together make a fine paste in blender, add olive oil mix it well.

    Chef, as a fellow tahini lover, i must advise you to freshly roast two things: Red chili, and jeera. Make a powder of both separately. Sprinkle on top of tahini before serving. Or, you can make a tempering even, with olive oil, broken red chili, and jeera. It's a must.

    Chef, Ive enjoyed many of your recipes over many years. Can you answer what's the big differences in Extra virgin olive oil and just olive oil? Is one for salads and other is frying? Or is there much more to the oils? Thank you!!!

    • @ladyluq14
      @ladyluq14 Před 6 lety

      SimonaLyne Enderz. Olives are pressed more than once to extract the oil, the difference between them is that extra virgin olive oil is the first pressed oil and hence "virgin" , therefore the flavour is more intense and suitable in salads and uncooked form, regular olive oil is usually the subsequent pressing of the olive pulp and pomace olive oil is the final press, the colours and taste become more paler and less intense the more often olives are pressed. Hope this helps.
