This was exactly what I needed. All this time I was preparing to replace the fume hood, and figured I'd need to get 1-2 people to hold it in place while I attached it. Using the jack was the absolute best ideas I've gotten from a youtube video. Considering the differences between my old one and the new one, I had to use the jack multiple times as I prepared the cabinet and tested my changes. Thanks!!

Is this the PX10 model? The User's manual/Installation guide says you have to secure it to the wall/stud, through the back of the hood. Can we skip that step?

I'm a general contractor which I have installed many hoods for our clients. This video is the best out of all video I have watched because it's the same of my installation technique which I have learned its' the best technique. in the video it was mentioned about car jack. Yes, you can use car jack but you needed to add extra wood block to increase the height. I have installed XtremeAir range hoods (omg, it was so heavy so having a cabinet jack or car jack will be a big help. good luck

This video has made me feel a lot better about installing my range hood! I was kind of worried about the price of installation if I hired a contractor or that it would be too hard if I tried to do it myself, but it actually looks a lot simpler than I thought it would be. It's nice to see that the things in kitchen are protected when installing the range hood. Thanks for the clear instructions!

How to win an NFL game, by XtremeAirUsa:
First, you get in your car to drive to the game. You get your keys, put them in the ignition, and drive down the road to the stadium. Then you're going to want to get your uniform on, helmet goes on your head. Make sure you're wearing shoes as your feet can be slippery on the grass ...
*5 minutes later* ... And then the referee blows the whistle to start the game. So then you just score more points than the other team and there you go, you've just won an NFL game.

20"-26" measured to bottom of hood. Too close and removing pot lids from large pots might be tight. Any higher than 26" and the hot air/steam can escape.

I bought a UL14-U30 under cabinet hood and the instructions basically just say to cut a hole in the bottom of the cabinet, it doesn't say how far off the back or sides or any details at all, I'll figure it out but a template would have been nice. The company should have a more detailed step-by-step video for each model IMO.

Had the duct already been hanging down, you would put that through the hole, and attach to the hood with alum tape...then jack the range hood up into place, and screw it in with mounting brackets. This was a very clear video, but lacks a tonne of pertinent information.
