행복의 씨앗을 심는 부처님 말씀- 부처님의 유교

부처님께서 45년 간의 전도를 마치시고 마지막으로 구시나가라성 밖의 사라쌍수 아래에서 마지막으로 제자들에게 설 하신 마지막 법문 입니다.
세존의 유교(1) 세존께서는 구시나가라성의 밖인 사라수의 수풀가운데서 제자들을 위하여 최후의 설교를 하셨다.
1.비구들이여 너희들은 각기 너희가 스스로 너를 등불로 삼고 너희가 스스로 너를 믿으라.
다른 사람을 의지하지 말지어다.
또 이렇게 가르치는 것을 등불로 삼고 결코 남의 가르침을 믿지 말라.
이 몸을 관찰하되 그 더러운 것을 생각하여 탐하지 말라.
괴로운 일이든지 즐거운 일이든지 다 같이 고(苦)의 원인이 되는 것으로 생각하고 탐착하지 말지어다.
또 나의 마음을 관찰하되 그 마음이 정처없이 일어났다가 사라지고 사라졌다가 일어나는 것이 무상한 것임을 생각하여 집착하지 말라.
그리고 일체 모든 사물을 관찰하되 그 가운데 나(我)라는 것이 없음을 생각하고 그 사물에 끌려서 미(迷)하지 말지어다.
이와 같이 공부하면 모든 고통을 끊을 수 있으리라.
내가 입멸(入滅)하여 돌아간 뒤에도 이와 같이 가르친 교훈을 잘 지킬 것 같으면 이 사람이야 말로 나의 참된 제자일 것이다.

1. Bhikkhus, let each of you be your own lamp and believe in yourself.
Don't rely on others.
Also, take these teachings as a light and never trust the teachings of others.
Observe this body, but do not covet its impurities.
Do not become obsessed with things, whether painful or pleasant, thinking that they are both the cause of suffering.
Also, observe your mind, but do not become attached to it, thinking that the mind arises and disappears aimlessly and then disappears and arises, which is impermanent.
And observe all objects, remembering that there is no self among them, and do not be attracted to those objects.
If you study like this, you will be able to cut off all suffering.
If he continues to follow the teachings I taught him like this even after I pass away and return, then this person will be my true disciple.
