My hat is off to Edsel Ford for really appreciating his family's cars and know car guy stuff! Good for him!
This is Jay at his absolute best. His knowledge and quick wit make it feel like we should be constantly sending him around the world to interact with Car folks. The laughs in this one, particularly with Mr. Ford were wonderful.
Did anyone notice the paint on the Duesenberg? Beyond magnificent. Wow. And the way the designer of the Disco described his creation. Great!
Aww, I like how Jay and Edsil got along like old friends. c;
Mutual respect of powerful people
Edsel
The first Lamborghini is absolutely beautiful. The new one looks like it should be in a science fiction movie.Edsel Ford seems like a nice guy.
Right?
Sorry but that new one looks hideous to me
Owww! That green...! I hadn't any idea! Thank you, Mr. Leno, crew & guest. Now substance for dreaming. Goodnight, safe slumber. With the gentleman's accent to dream along... Be safe! ❤
The first Lambo was to die for. Beautiful ! But the latest ? It looks a bad science fiction apocalyptic nightmare ! 😨
Couldn't agree more. Aventador pre-facelift was a beauty, the newer ones are like 12 years old dream car
The first one looks great but still weird with the contrast from the front and back end
For a true car guy, Jay never, (see his garage videos), has any problem putting his hands and fingerprints on so many perfectly painted surfaces. It is the equivalent of pawing various cars at automobile museums!
Agreed, still no Lamborghini I wouldn't want to own!!!
that disco volante stole the show, superb!
i love the pre war and post war cars you profile.. it gives me good memories of my grandpa spending hours going through makes models and years, records, types of engines... i couldn't get enough and he had the brains.. my great grandpa used to own a ford dealership and my grandpa was assembling the cars at the dealership since he was 12..
Nice to see Jay get out of the garage and take a primo road trip.
Fun show, thanks for posting,
That first Lamborghini is gorgeous!
Jay, Huge fan! I look forward to your videos every Sunday. I'd love to see a video on the BMW 507. There's not a lot of existing video content on arguably one of the most beautiful cars ever built. Thanks for keeping car enthusiasm alive and well!
Jay Leno is a national treasure. ... bing bing bing bing.. I just won a trip to visit his famous garage. yea!!
Best looking Duesenberg! I love the black grill!
Jay is a living legend. I appreciate all this content in 2020 twice as much.
Amazing Jay, thanks for your efforts. You are my favourite.
Just amazing, i especially enjoyed your interaction with Mr Ford, as you had me laughing too.
Thanks Jay - I learn something every time I watch one of these videos and gain more of an appreciation of what these cars and owners are all about!
The AFLA ROMEO DISCO VOLANTE can be seen at minute 10:20.
Jay Leno inetrviews Louis de Fabribeckers, chief of design of Touring Superleggera, on this supercar gorgeous design..
Touring Superleggera i
Touring Superleggera He was a real dickhead, wasnt he?
@@hypnotised-clover Maybe I was a dickhead because Jay called the car an alfa ROMERO
That Alfa is beautiful.
No it's not
There's one here in Clayton, NY. That I just went to a couple months ago. Best car show I've ever been to
Rode in a 275 GTB/4 😊
I don't know who I would have been more excited to meet if I were there, Jay or Edsel. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode.
I was there as I am each year; Mr. Leno is always a pleasure to speak to!
Awesome video!! Fantastic cars that I'll never see, and having explained the history behind them, great job!
Need to do more of these Concourse D’Elegance in 2019
Pebble Beach ⛳️
We kind of take Jay for granted but he will be in the history books
Great cars and nice stories thank you Mr. Leno
The "samurai" comment by Jay got me laughing!
I will see this show in person someday. Have attended the Concours D'Elegance in Plymouth MI a few times, cars are amazing in person.
First time I've seen Leno in a suit since the tonight show. Without the tie!😝😃
Wow Wow Jay Leno you are surrounded by beautiful people and beautiful, beautiful cars
the passion of the designer for the disco volante is aweosme!!!
Love Jay's channel!
Awesome video! Thank you!
Thanks Jay! Love all your work! From Australia.
Thanks Jay that was great. Being able to see those beautiful cars was a real treat for me.
✌🏻🇺🇸 Cape Cod
Gee Jay, that was fun! I was sorry that it wasn't longer. Thank you!
OMG. Maybe the best JLG ep. yet. TWO first evers from TWO legendary carmakers. (Lambo & Duesenberg) & Edsel Ford's (Jr.? III?) mother's & grandma's cars. Not a bad Austin Healy either. (and it was very cool too mind you) - Thanks Jay. (Pebble Beach trivia: The 1st 4 yrs of the Concours d'Elegance, the winning cars were of the same year model as the year they won. In 1950, a '50 Edwards won, in '51 and '52, a '51 and '52 Jag won, and in '53, a '53 Austin Healy.) The 1st Lambo... GORGEOUS.
Those Ford women are a trip. I cleaned their houses years ago here in Michigan. The way the son said, my mom wanted this, my mom wanted that. My grandma wanted this, my grandma wanted that. Yep, that's the Ford women . What they want, they get. Me,me,me..... That green Lamborghini was AMAZING.
Just amazing....
Wspaniałe video absolutne perełki klasycznej motoryzacji.DZIĘKUJE.
Great video, thank you.
saw the first lambo and duesenberg in person. it's amazing to touch history. great video by jay leno garage.
That first Lamborghini 350 looks awesome to me. Easily the most beautiful Lambo ever.
the Lamborghini Veneno is the most extreme Lambo I've ever seen
John Samples
Extreme is a good description. I don't think it's very attractive but it's definitely cool. I think the Reventon was much better looking
True, Veveno is a wild, crazy beast.
One of my favorites thanks
Awesome Jay!
Your videos are the best!!!!!!
Especially when you have a Ford in them!
Hello: Thanks Jay another video. Happy Trails
Great episode Jay! Good way to end with a laugh
Nice Beethoven Symphony intro...and wow Jay really looks well-scrubbed for this event.
Paint and detailing on the Duesenberg is amazing
wonderful as always, Jay.
So even Batman shows his bat mobile in Pebble Beach, good to know!
The paint/finish on the duesenberg even on non HD looks amazing.
So much fun!
The Veneno one of those designs that can only be improved by collision damage
Edsel, makes me think of failure.
The grandmother’s Lincoln was the original town car. Didn’t know they still had a town car body style in the 50’s
Love this one J.
Edsel Ford is a nice guy...
Bruno M Yeah ... but what's in a surname. Three generations ago? One-eigth? So this is Mr. 7/8th Not Ford?
Daniël Boomsma Ok. So he's not inbred. What's your point....
Apparently his namesake was a kindly man, I don't think the same could be said about Henry Sr.
@@quicksilver2510 There are very few founders of successful companies who could be described as kindly.
@@4600norm Edsel Ford wasn't the founder of the Ford company.
G-day Jay thsnk you for the tour and video it was great buddy 👍🏻💚🦘✌
Would be a dream to attend this show.
yocanigo Bring a jacket it's really cold in Monterey at these events.
That Was A Really Cool Video Jay Thank You So Much
Thanks Jay, if it weren't for you, mere mortals like us would never see this stuff.
@3:39 Correction, Jay... Alfa Romeo doors. The Stradale had these in the 60's, long before Lamborghini.
That Duesenberg and those Lincolns, damn, gorgeous. I like how Jay moved away from that Lamborghini travesty as fast as he could.
Pebble Beach, i have to go some day it's a great show.
THAT FORD IS BEAUTIFUL !
That Alfa was sick. I love it.
amazing how much the Alfa Romeo looks like the Shelby GR1 concept car that Ford nicknamed "Daisy" during production
Jay has an American flag pin. 😂 I love that. This man really does love America
The first Lamborghini is an art piece. The most beautiful car I have ever seen. The new one.... I'm sure it's very fast. Ironic how Jay said Lamborghini was made to be a road car, while Ferrari was a bit rough "track car". And now it's the opposite with the new Lamborghini.
I really enjoyed this.
Yeah, what a tease, I worked on 2 different 507's in the early 70's when I started my career with BMW at Ocean View Motors in Santa Monica Ca.
Also did a engine swap on a 505 twenty years later at Peter Pan Motors in San Mateo Ca.
Love "most" BMW's.
JAY KINDA HAS THAT
JED CLAMPETT SUNDAY CHURCH CLOTHES LOOK
THE 56 CONTINENTAL MARK 2 WAS AMAZING
I went to the Concours D'Elegance show on Rodeo Dr. earlier this year but it's nothing compared to Pebble Beach. Can't wait to attend a Pebble Beach show in the future.
Who better to talk with about an old Ford then an old Ford classic line J you're hilarious
Nicely done Jay.
That's an exclusive experience. Not just being able to buy any car you want, but bringing it home from work modified any way you like.
Good job Jay.
Beautiful.....
Great vid Jay.
That new Alfa Romeo is badass !
I wished this movie never stopped!
Tears in my eyes....
Jay is such a Gentleman
Edsel Ford ll worth $500 mil dresses and talks like a regular guy. Class.
I read this as he is worth $500 million dresses
Sara McCullom punctuation, right?
Edsel Ford is worth $500 Million? Howard Stern is worth 500 million. Edsel Ford is worth BILLIONS. His family owns a little car company, or haven't you heard?
You're just a kid. But you'll learn as you age that rich people aren't any different than other folk . . . they just have more money.
Father Time And they dont dress well or act pretentious in any way, no no, not even mr "Im so important italian guy" at the start
I temporary worked this event at the pebble beach lodge for the 2013 concours and I seen you there! Lol just thought I would share that..... I also seen you riding around in golf carts!
That Alfa needs to go into production!
The guy talking about the 1st Lambo sounds just like Don Rickles talking to Sinatra in Italian describing the latest mafia hits LOLOLOLOL
First Lamborghini awesome...last no character.
But that Alfa disco volante...so beautiful
Jay alway cracking me up...lol
A marvellous episode, so smart in your suit Jay but where's your tie?
Mr. Edsel Ford II, all stock ..and "stock" being a word that JL loves.
That Alpha is stunning!
That concept alfa romeo was sharp. Those headlights would look small and misplaced on any other car, but I am surprised how well it worked there.
I love that old Lamborghini, the new Alfa, and that Edsel is so beautiful.
a delight!
The front of the Corvette Stingray looks a lot like the first Lamborgini!👌
Awesome cars
That was fun
928 to Daytona coupe, now that’s exotic.
