@@ffwhynotnow gunjou. also, the manga is way better than the live-action, the scriptwriter made a lot of questionable and ooc changes to the plot 🤦🏼♀️. the only good thing from the movie was the scenes were they genuinely happy together but aside than that 😠
This looks promising, but I hope it won't be like Blue is the Warmest Color, where sex scenes are too long that it became a fetishized version of the director.
Uh, no. You can't justify the overlength of the sex scenes in Blue just because lesbian movies don't get enough of it, even the actors hated the director for making them film such lengthy scenes, they were literally exploited that the author of the book hated the film adaptation.
Rei and Nanae are slow, tender and affectionate in their sex scene. They talk to each other while making love. The are no shots focusing on their genitals. Kiko also said in an interview that the director brought in an "intimacy coordinator" and forbade all but a handful of crew to be present when the scene was filmed. Respect! By comparison, the actors in Blue complained later about how violent the sex scene was.

Manga is so tragic, sad, dark, depressing a bit, violent and serious. Seeing the trailer where the characters had fun rides is different to me.
I love this manga, and I'm gonna sure watch this movie. I hope it will not disappoint.

This is based on the manga Gunjou by Nakamura Ching. One of the best works I've had the pleasure to read and this trailer looks so promising.

She was also in an awesome movie called Helter Skelter (as well as a few other films but HS is the only one I've seen) and was amazing in it! I really recommend it if you're into films like Black Swan or Perfect Blue.

The movie is so good
"one who kills out of unrequited love, and the other who made her kill" Not to be picky, but that description sounds like it was written by someone who didn't actually watch the film. The love between Rei and Nanae is deep and complex, and far from "unrequited." Nanae doesn't "make" Rei kill Nanae's abusive husband. "I didn't kill him so I could sleep with you; I just slept with someone I love so much that I would kill for her." My point is that this film shows the complex, sometimes confusing, but irresistible power of love in real life. If you have not seen this film, prepare for a gripping, moving story!

holy mother-..that intro.. those exact same lines..Gunjo(manga its based on) by far has the heaviest, most depressing, unique and fascinating love/hate story out there which makes it one of my favourite yuri manga. Cant wait to have an unforgettable experience again. The director must've truly recognized the Ching Makamura's (mangaka) genius.
