    It is really wonderful to listen to you both. You are explaining the minute details with a passion. Great n Thanks for the same.
    I have a query. In those times blowing conch was indication of beginning of war. In 1st Adhyay we notice that Bhishm & Arjun both had blown conch. After that Arjun started trembling n Krishna explained Bhagwat Geeta to him. In the mean time what both side warriors were doing ?

    Pranam to both the Gyani.
    It would be great if you also specify which publication's Mahabharat should we read ? For example if I want to read both in Sanskrit and it's anuwaad in HINDI then is GITA PRESS good one?
    Recently, I heard Shri Kusumlata ji on Jamboo talk youtube channel, speaking on Jarasandh Yuddh.
    But the facts which she was quoting is not in my Hindi anuwaad!

    🙏🏻 Thoroughly enjoyed listening to you both . I have a question - what are your views on interpretation of Swadharma for us in today’s context. We no longer associate ourselves with the varna we are both with?

      "It was Madhavrao Peshwa who recognised Ramshastri's true worth. We find the Peshwa writing letters to the shastri on matters of state, seeking his advice. The shastri too tendered advice boldly, not mincing words while speaking his mind. During his stay in Pune, the Peshwa was given to religious austerities. On one such occasion, Ramshastri had to return without meeting the Peshwa as he was in seclusion and busy with his prayers. The next day, Ramshastri returned and requested permission to retire to Kashi. The Peshwa, realising his error, apologised for his conduct the previous day stating he was engaged in what he considered a meritorious activity. The shastri heard out the young Peshwa before plainly stating, "As a Raja, it behoves you to attend to the welfare of your people. If you cannot, quit the Musnad, accompany me, and devote your life strictly to those observances, which I fully admit, our faith enjoins". The Peshwa thereafter corrected his ways and abandoned the habit of spending long hours on religious practices"
      "Ramshastri Prabhune: Iron man of the Peshwa judiciary."

    It was also said that Bhagavan Ganesha in fact wrote Mahabharat at the dictation of Shri Vyasadeva. If that is real, can we say that the refinement in the diction, text, thought, concept etc were contributed by Lord Ganesha so that it is “the” final refined version that we are seeing?

    • @NileshOak
      @NileshOak  Před rokem

      No.
      The current Mahabharata we have had 3+ recensions (Vyasa-Vaishampayan-Sauti) embedded in it. These occuring over the period of about less than 100 years after 5561 BCE

    Arjuna's despondence in Arjuna Vishada Yoga can be considered as Desertion of a Military person. Desertion is when a member of the Armed Forces quits a unit, organization, or place of duty to avoid hazardous tasks or important services
    ie., combat deployment, duty in a combat zone, ship deployments, etc. During war, the maximum desertion charge is the death penalty. (Article 85 - Desertion). So, this is an ancient Hindoopagan military practice that is also the modern American law!
    While Adracious Tucchaki questions and talks nonsense (equates to Nazi) about Bhagavadgita, her own country's Uniform Code of Military Justice requires a Kshatriya to do his duty and not take up some other job to escape from the duty! If this is Nazi philosophy per Audracious Tucchaki, her own country's Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) is nothing but Nazi!
    Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) Article 85 Desertion
    The MCM states under Article 85 (Desertion) any service member may be prosecuted if they:
    leave or remain absent from their unit, organization, or place of duty without authority and with the intent to remain away permanently;
    quits his unit, organization, or place of duty with intent to avoid hazardous duty or to shirk important service; or
    without being regularly separated from one of the armed forces enlists or accepts an appointment in the same or another one of the armed forces without fully disclosing the fact that he has not been regularly separated, or enters any foreign armed service except when authorized by the United States.....
    That is why Bhagavan Srikrishna advised Arjuna:
    स्वधर्मम् अपि चावेक्ष्य न विकम्पितुम् अर्हसि।
    धर्म्याद्धि युद्धाच्छ्रेयो ऽन्यत्क्षत्रियस्य न विद्यते॥२.३१॥
    Considering your specific duty as a kṣatriya (warrior), you should know that there is no better engagement for you than fighting on principles of your dharma as a warrior; and so there is no need for hesitation.
    अथ चेत्त्वम् इमं धर्म्यं सङ्ग्रामं न करिष्यसि।
    ततः स्वधर्मं कीर्तिं च हित्वा पापम् अवाप्स्यसि॥२.३३।
    If, however, you do not fight this war, then you will certainly incur sins for neglecting your duties and thus lose your reputation as a fighter.
    योगस्थः कुरु कर्माणिसङ्गं त्यक्त्वा धनञ्जय।
    सिद्ध्यसिद्ध्योः समो भूत्वासमत्वं योग उच्यते॥२.४८॥
    Be steadfast in yoga, O Arjuna. Perform your duty and abandon all attachment to success or failure. Such evenness of mind is called yoga.
    Audracious Tucchaki being a member of the Abrahamic Iconoclastic Barbaric Uncivilized Hindoopagangenocidal Desertcults that has destroyed 97% of the world's Ancient cultures and continues to destroy technologically advanced and highly civilised Hindoopaganism, here is her own cult's message for her: ‘Why do you see the speck in your neighbour’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbour, ‘Friend, let me take out the speck in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbour’s eye.’ (Luke 6.41-42)
