Nepal and China have agreed to sign a deal for the implementation of Xi Jinping's flagship Belt and Road Initiative in the coming months. The deal has been criticised for its secrecy by lawmakers in Nepal. In Sri Lanka, the Chinese have agreed to expand the Hambantota port and the Colombo International Airport. China is the largest bilateral lender to Sri Lanka, making up 17% of its total foreign debt. Is India losing its grip over South Asia? Why are India's neighbours cosying up to China?
