@@relate97 Just get the bounty hunter role to earn gold and get collector to earn cash. You'll have more cash then you know what to do with it in no time! Also even tho the mustang is not "the best horse" because it only has 6 speed and 4 acceleeration, overall it is just as good as the black arabian. You get full health and stamina bars but it is faster than any other horse with full bars. Defintely worth the relatively low 500$.

Full bond level it gives you max stamina and max health I really like mine so if you don’t have enough cash for the fox trotters I recommend the new mustangs

The new Mustangs are pretty amazing, I've used the red dun for a couple weeks now on bounties and its only ever thrown me a handful of times. That, and it can outrun almost anyone that needs chasing down and can tank a couple shots.
My Mustang is better/tougher/braver than my foxtrotter and turkoman.

Max health and max stamina when fully bonded and with the Nacogdoches saddles and hooded stirrups, it keeps up with the fastests horses in the game and BOY does it SHINE in the sunlight, it looks like its made of gold!!

You can as long as you keep Resetting the Awards in the Progress part of Options Menu. You can reset each Award 10 times which gives 0.4 Gold, Use Treasure Maps as soon as you get them, do Bounty Hunting to get Gold and wait until the last 30 seconds to hand it in and you'll 0.32 Gold, do Free Roam Events which you get Gold for and Daily Challenges help a little bit even though they nerfed them.

I grind money on gta but atl i can buy a nice looking car that some 12 yr old on a mk2 can blow up. All my horses are whiners. For me they're just about all the same. Don't waste gold on them. At the first sign of danger they buck you off. I'd pay gold for a horse that was slightly brave. 🤘🤠

The new Mustang i purchased for 350 dollars at level 4 bonding has full health and endurance. For 350 dollars in game might be thr best deal ofcall the new horses. Not the best horse but for the price might very well be.

I do have to say that having maxed cores on a tier 4 of the new mustangs is a nice feature. I think it makes up for the slight reduction in speed and acceleration compared to other horses
I can park my mustang next to an alligator and it won't move and neither will it be alarmed. With a new speed they're easily one of the top three horses in the game

Saw a posse member riding one tonight & for the life of me I could not keep up or catch up to that mustang! So I bought one immediately & it is soooooo good!
My son consistently wins races on his buckskin mustang equipped with the collector saddle and hooded stirrup vs. my MFT equipped with the nacogdoches and hooded stirrups.
The new Mustang I found was better than Foxtrotter.

Foxtrotter has a slight edge in speed and acceleration, but doesn't handle any better, and has less stamina and health.
Given that a single bar is only approximately .07% better than the previous bars in acceleration and speed, I'd prefer having a tougher horse over a microscopically faster one.

The new Mustangs with top saddle combo, level 4 bonding have better stats than Missouri. 10/10 health and Stamina (only one or two other breeds). 9 Speed, 7 Acceleration.
If what you say about temperament is correct, than they are the only stats which carry any bearing. (Personally I find the Mustangs braver than most even since beta) But just on stats a new Mustang is equal with the best available. I think you missed its health, stamina and end speed stats at level 4 when assessing it.
I just hate that the mustangs are so small. I agree they have great stats but my character looks
like he’s riding a donkey. Maybe it would look ok with a female character though since they’re so much smaller.

Yeah I got the black overo mustang called orca she is the best horse and you get a lot of compliments and they have a very long stamina core would recommend

I have the Roadster, Fox Trotter and Turkamon so just bought one of the new Mustangs and must say I'm very impressed. With the best saddle and stirrups it has a top speed of 9 and take off speed of 7. So not the fastest take off but I hardly notice it. The best thing about it though is it's 100% health and stamina wheels at level 4 bonding and it's got stone cold courage. Last night I was searching for a treasure location and got set on by 6 wolves was the biggest pack I'd seen in a while. They completely surrounded me and the horse and it never through me. The Fox Trotter would have. It still threw me near a gator and bear but it held on longer hoping I'd stop the threat. I think given the stats the $500 price tag and it's true grit make it worth every penny and a must for new players. I got mine for $350 with a voucher and spent no gold so even more of a bargain 😁

Quick tip: (I learned this while playing a week ago and thought I’d share it)
When in snow or water that your horse can stand in, rear your horse beforehand, this spooks your horse and when spooked, horses will plow through snow or water at the same speed if there were no snow 😄

I bought the black overo mustang 14 GB . Fast horse decent acceleration. But more important to me is health and stamina than overall speed. I need a horse that take getting shot multiple times without dying. Paired with a horse meal and the n saddle and all the bells and whistles you'll have a horse you can survive on. But you can get the same stats with the top naturalist horse same saddle and such. Ultimately what the end game is coat color. And folks like to have a horse that suits their perspective of what beauty is, my advice peg the health and stamina. Tip for new players, when purchasing a new horse buy a additional saddle, and when a greifer kills your ride you'll get your other horse. Say goodbye to the scrawny nag forever.
The fox trotted is my new go to. It just feels good compared to some of the others.

I got the most expensive new mustang and I really like it. Doesn't spook as hard around wildlife than most other horses. Fully bonded (I think?) they have full stamina and health bars. So worth getting if you like the Mustang look

I honestly disagree, The mustangs are basically better in my book than the MFT, at full bonding they have max health and max stamina and if you pair that with the Nacogdoches saddles and +2 stirrups (preferably the Hooded Stirrups) you have something that can keep up in speed with the MFT and Arabians, the only downside is that the acceleration isnt that great
So yeah, for what they are worth, Mustangs are so much better
I would take that health over 1 bar of speed and accel any day although I find myself riding the mft more as I like how it looks like a cow on the 45 gold coat
I get that everyone is touting that bravery isn't a thing but after thousands and thousands of hours my experiences say that isn't true. I have both the new overo mustang and the torvero fox trotter & in my opinion the mustang is way better!

The Black Overo Mustang is my new main horse and I have been using since the update. It’s not a bad horse.
Im so glad i grinded for the gold i have. I do believe Takr-Two and Rockstar screwed everyone over nerfing the Dailys the way they did. So how are new players gonna pay for the horses now? They shouldnt have to pay extra IRL cash to catch up on bonus content for a method to getting said content was already in the game

So I'm kinda new to RDR2 online, but I have over 400 hours into story mode in 2-3 playthroughs...and I always used to catch a Mustang/Appaloosa early game, to go with my Ardennes to use before I could buy something better (MFT, Turk, etc.) So, when I started playing online I just went with how I played story mode, but rocked a Tennessee Walker for the entirety of time until I could get the Nacogdoches and hooded combo, then found a Mustang with AMAZING stats by comparison to story mode...So, now my stable is Buckskin Mustang, Silver Dapple Pinto MFT, Black Turkoman (I like all my horses to be completely different colors, lol)...and I don't really feel like there could be a better set of horses, I've got 2 warhorse combos (Turk, Mustang), two race horse combos(MFT, Turk), and 2 work horse combos(MFT, Mustang)...I'm set, lol. I may branch out and get some new role horse eventually but I don't think any could be better. I have a horse for every very specific occasion, and all of them work well for most everything.

i have all the best horses.. including these new ones.. while in my opinion, the roadster is still the best .. These new Mustangs have become my go to fav .. look great , quick enough to keep up .. and that full hp bar is real nice

The black arabian as far as horses go isn't even that good. Breton, Foxtrotter, Turkoman, Criollo, and a bounty of others absolutely beat it
@@auhs6240 I was talking about overall stats ok, the Black Arabian has at the start 6 health, 6 stamina, 6 speed and 6 acceleration so 24 points, the new Mustangs have 7 health, 7 stamina, 6 speed and 4 acceleration making it 24 points overall, The Fox trotter only has 23 overall points 7 speed, 5 acceleration, 5 health and 6 stamina. Now the Turkaman is on the same points as a Foxtrotter 23 points with 7 health, 5 stamina, 6 speed and 5 acceleration so yeah the Black Arabian and the new Mustangs are the best horses on the game

Quick tip : don't fuck around on your horse in battles..... Personally i dismount and take cover because my aim would be better and i wouldn't waste as much tonics.... And not risk getting my horse knocked into revive position.. And perhaps dying.....ik insurance is a thing but still..

I usually select the Norfolk but you're gonna see plenty of different preferences. They just seem to work better for other players. Some people love, and will suggest the Arabian. Others the fox trotter, some the turkoman. I've never tried the fox trotter, but I've got the Arabian. Although he's way too scared of, well, everything. Mine is anyways, my friend prefers it tho. Turkoman is pretty solid but not sturdy. I'd say just go with your gut and pick your first selection.

Horses are so subjective! There really is no best but I think a great horse to purchase would be one of the new mustangs. They are solid all around with full health and stamina bars at lvl 4 bonding and a great price. Mine is really brave going into gunfights but a little spooky around predators.

There is qualitative evidence that horse temperament can differ even among the same breed. The new mustang is a great all around horse and only $500 or $350 if you catch it on sale. Buy 2 or even 3 and keep the one that you feel has the steadiest temperament!

I'd take a new Mustang over the MFT 10/10 times. You can't beat that 10 Stamina/10 Health. When you put on the right saddle and the right stirrups, they're perfect
I agree, Nacogdoches and hooded stirrups make the new mustang very fast, 9spd/7acc. Combined with max health and stamina + a good temperament it is an excellent all around horse.

To me the new mustangs are definitely the best horses to me they might be slightly slower but they genuinely don’t give a fuck about what’s going on I can literally just trample mountain lions and small black bears and it just doesn’t care. The only thing that might spook it is a grizzly bear if you don’t calm and that’s it really, I literally trampled one of the legendary wolves with one of the new mustangs and only calmed it once.

My son's first horse was a buckskin Mustang. He's now level 120+ with an MFT, Turk, Roadster, Criollo, and Breton and his favorite horse is still the mustang he bought on sale for $350 after running a trader delivery with me!
I got a golden Turk fully bonded and immediately switched back to the mustang.
I know it says the Turk is faster but it doesn’t feel that way.
It may have a longer stride? But it feels slower than the mustang.
I'll tell you a secret horse stats mean nothing apart from health and stamina. I have a appaloosa with like 4 speed and 4 acceleration and I notice no difference with my Norfolk roadster and new MFT and it keeps up with all my friends when they use "the best horses"

Okay, Hazard, you're blatantly wrong about the roadster. It's not a good horse. It has equal stamina to a Criollo, equal speed, and one better acceleration. Okay. Sure. But it _also_ has 1 worse health. Now, if the horse has better acceleration, it doesn't matter. 1 nub of acceleration is far less noticeable than 1 more health stat. It's the same for the MFT. And the mustang would be much better as well. It has 10 stamina and health, 9 speed, and 6 acceleration. Two worse acceleration than the roadster. So, even if acceleration was as important as health/stamina (which it's not), it would be a stat ahead of the roadster, making it a better horse. One less speed, sure. So that makes them equal, even though the roadster has worse stamina. Now, the roadster has two better acceleration, but the mustang has three better health. So that makes it better (if we do say acceleration/speed matters as much as health and stamina, even though the difference of two speed and ten speed is, when travelling, a few seconds at most). As for the black Arabian, they're almost equal. Same speed, the Arabian has two better acceleration. The mustang has two stats to tie this in, being better by one stat in health and stamina. It is worse to handle, yes, but the health and stamina is still more valuable than acceleration. The Arabian would be a smoother ride, but not mind-bogglingly better. The mustang is also better by two points then the MFT and Criollo (same handling, same acceleration. One better stamina, one worse speed, two better health). On top of all of this, it is $450 cheaper than the roadster, MFT, and Criollo, and half the price, in terms of gold, of a black Arabian. Best and most value horse in the game, statistically.

the new mustangs are really underrated, maxed out its the whole stamina bar full all the way, and the health bar full all the way. no cap, i have it myself. with the nacodoches sadle and best stirrups, it will have 9 speed and 7 acceleration. and i have to say, the acceleration feels better than on my turkoman, or foxtrotter. plus the mustang is beautiful, with the blue eyes, white coat with brown marks. note that it is quite small.

I decided to get one for cash, I got the buckskin brindle and will probably now buy a turkoman which I am leaning towards the white one but any recommendations for which turkoman?

You should get the Mustang. It has basically the same stats as a foxtrotter. He seems to dive smother.
I bought the Buckskin Brindle and i started to notice a lot of npc’s keep telling me how great my horse looks. I like it that they’ve put that in there, otherwise all the other times (with my other horses) the npc’s want nothing to do with me and want me out of their way.
I have a question can u only get that mustang online? Or in a stable or in the wild?
Yea I got both of the Missouri fox trotters the white with black spots and then micahs aswell they’re just marvelous hopefully we get more coatings for ever horse

black tovero, must be a glitch but out of the 10 i own, this is the worse performing and if we could sell back horses at a reduced rate instead of just discarding them this would have gone days ago

I like the mustang, and it’s the best horse in the game in my opinion. I like how it won’t run super far away, and it isn’t super scared of predators, and it can take a ton of damage in a gun fight. It’s just the best horse all around the best horse again in my opinion. Great video as always.

Really good looking horse, but the only downside is that fox trotters don't have these new coats in real life. The only realistic fox trotter coat is the Amber champagne, the rest does not exist in reality unfortunately. The same goes for mustangs as well, the only realistic coats are the buckskin, and the toveros overos, but these happen to be mares most of the times, stalions are more solid when it comes to colourations, they're either solid black, buckskin, or white. Only in a few rare occasions they appear as toveros and overos.
Pffft I bought the 45 gold Missouri fox trotter purely for the coat, but then again I gave 500+ gold. I just loved the colours.

I had the old mustang and traded it in for the new one. I know they are not at the top of the horse chain but I believe the stang has a quikeness that other horses don't. maybe it's just me and my fondness for the mustang.

I usually buy horses for fun and their looks..if you have one good horse in the stable you’re set. However I do think the mustang is better than you give it credit for: with the Nacadoches Saddle + hooded stirrups they’re one bar away from full speed, have full health & stamina and a calm temperament...so idk why it shouldn’t be placed alongside the Turkoman, Missouri & Arabian especially when it only costs 500$?
R* nerved the daily streaks = less gold = adding expensive outlaw pass w/expensive horses. Smaller payouts = more expensive stuff.
The new mustangs while is not satistically appealing than the other faster horses, it is a better horse to be in lemoyne, won't buck you off in a sight of a Aligator, and no need to calm your horse repeatedy, you can even be bold enough and gallop on top of one and still won't buck you off, wolfs are no problem either like most horses, but cougars and panthers will scare the shit out of it. also lvl 10 for health and stamina.
I really like the Brindle one, it reminds me of Baylock from the story mode

literally no reason not to get a Norfolk Roadster((the bottom two horses on the list), objectively better and you can save your gold. tbh i always hope they'll add new horses to challenge them, but Norfolk Roadsters are elite. can bring speed up to max with good tack and acceleration one shy of max.

The new mustangs are amazing. I cycled between my wild bay mustang and turkoman for a while but recently replaced my wild bay with the new buckskin and she’s awesome. Only thrown me once and it was my own fault with a couple grizzly bears, and at lvl 4 bonding they have max health and stamina. Speed is the exact same as the turkoman with one less point of accel, but more than made up for by the full stamina
I bought the black overo mustang. I'm really enjoying the horse. Im playing the bounty hunter route. So honestly I don't see myself getting rid of it.
I love the OG silver dapple fox trotter. Still my all time fave in the game. But I do love the bay brindle fox trotter. Also the black overo mustang is adorable though not very fast.
They should add a feature that lets you try the bourse for a couple of hours, Cauz I spend 20 gold bars on a horse that looked good, but it turned out to be bad 😭😭😭😭
