Golden is by far one of the songs that I like the most from Zayn! And it’s really difficult to choose, because he has such a beautiful voice, that if he sang his groceries list it should be beautiful! But golden, hasn’t just a beautiful vocal, but has a beautiful lyric and range as well, so that’s why this split out from the others!

these two songs were literally only on the target deluxe version of the album and it wasn't even available in some countries which sucked but i remember doing a giveaway offering to buy that version of the album for people, not a lot of people responded to me tbh, so i ended up buying it for five different people that reponded so at least i was able to do that.
when something good came out a lot of us were like 'zayn and aliens??' because he kept making alien references and like ever since whenever he mentions space in any song i always think of this song. and golden??? ugh it's so perfect. ever since this song came out i've wanted to get the lyrics "i hope you'll still be fine" and "it's golden like sands of time" and "there's a love and it grows" tattooed on me, the whole song is just so beautiful and poetic.
