    In Luhya dialects in Western Kenya they say "abandu" which means people and "omundu" for a person.

    "Abantu" means people and "omumtu" a person in Luganda language here in Uganda. Also "amazi" here means water.

    😮 In 🇷🇼Rwanda people is abantu and a person is umuntu the difference is only pronunciation😮 I'm surprised for real 😮😮😮

    You know many words in Swahili. Here are Swahili words that might be easy to translate to Isizulu or maybe Xhosa, Ndovu means elephant, mbuzi means goat, maji means water, Mbili means two, Ulimi means tongue, kule means over there, tatu means three, kumi means Ten and Mvua means rain

    A person is mtu not umntu and people is watu.......yuuh lkn inakaa kama mnachezea lugha.....am in south Africa I know kiswahili I want to learn xhosa language......i know some now like fuseeg and haamba

    Swahili and Xhosa are both Bantu languages. They both stem from a similar proto-Bantu dialect.
    Most Linguist trace Proto-Bantu to have been spoken in Cameroon.

      I find luhya is close to isixhosa. You even call amathumbo, cows intestines, same though u don't put 'h'. Matumbo in swahili. Another word that amazed me is a leopard, ingwe, just like in xhosa.

      Wabantu mmepatana 😁 inze ni murogori. IsiXhosa is very easy to learn for us. And our circumsicion cultures are very similar if you have ever looked at it closely. They are strikingly similar
