A lot of the trouble i have over the year with radios is remembering what button or what direction a button needs to go to move thru the menu, like on the xlites. Having a touch screen just makes it that much easier when your not sure what button to use to get thru the menus.
Looks like a fun little project. That steering "linkage" looks similar to what's on my Durafly Vampire with retractable nose gear. It's proven to be a weak link as it's easily stretched if the nose gear gets anything less than a silky-smooth landing. Once stretched, the lash in the steering reaction makes it almost impossible to get it down the runway. My fix was to eliminate the retract on the nose only and change to a solid pushrod. But hopefully yours is more robust. Can't wait to hear more about the radio system. Looks like the ones the folks who ain't from around here use. 🤣
@@erichische yeah that would be great. It isnt too bad though. I followed Mr.D's tutorial on it. Just do em all at once. The pictures look really good on the display.
Still flying happening at that spot every Sunday, but they're are a lot of constraints being tucked in an urban area right here. Jeff has been getting into some larger and more complex models that aren't parkflyer appropriate
I’ll get back there soon, I’ve been so busy with life that filming and editing fell by the wayside- I’m glad you enjoyed the videos- that encourages me to film more

Looks good 👍

Thanks, I’ll post the maiden flight- solid links would be a good alternative
You need some custom plane pics!
It does really help with finding your planes in the radio and making sure you are on the the right model.
I really wish it were simpler- like a built in camera to take a pic of your planes…
Def needs a basic ass camera for just that reason, or an easy airdrop.

@@erichische Are you guys anywhere near the Discovery RC boyz? They were in Cali. I was very sad when they stopped posting on YT. 😢
I think they are NorCal- I sent them a message 6 months ago- i wanted to visit them. Do you know why that channel stopped? I loved the content
Or that other group that flew at the school yard and always bring fancy donuts. They were fun to watch
