Writing from Montebello CA.,.. Absolutely love this movie, .I was a live on-site maintenance man for a senior living community in Whittier CA., and the co. furnished a one bedroom apt. for me. I was alone & a bit lonely,..so,. on my days off, I would take a Vicodin for my back pain and, relax. I would rent this video, order pizza or Chinese food.... and watch this over & over 😊,...

Pat Laffan was colm meaneys mentor in the Abbey acting school. the tragedy for Pat Laffan was that he could never escape the role of Georgie Burgess. One day he and Colm Meany were in town in a library. and this was years after the Snapper had come out. He told Colm that he could only enter by the side door. as they were going to leave... the crowd started calling him you dirty bastard....Laffan rarely worked because despite his talent as an actor, he could not escape Georgie Burgess
