Welcome! These musical clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital. There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. The most incredible live version is the Statue of Liberty Oh People. Patti rules, Billy Preston plays piano and every Gospel singer backing her up is on her side smiling as she sends her vocals to the Heavens! She is fierce and so thin! Her 5plus inch pumps have her moving across that stage superfast and she does NOT miss a word. I heard she did a 2nd song but have never seen it anywhere...Oh and she has the Statue of Liberty Hair by Norma Harris! Extroadinaire!
Yes being a long time Patti fan. That performance at Giants Stadium she did of this song was PHENOMENAL...!!! She truly is a vocal phenom. I've gained a lot of inspiration from listening to her. And applying it to my own vocal gift.

I knew something was throwing me off. The stadium performance just outdid anything else with this song. I love the song but I even prefer the stadium performance over the actual recorded version.
