I've been an Auto & Diesel Mechanic for 40+ years...
I really hate the fact that "Engineers" in All major Car Companies changed the
Way "Old School" cars were Designed.
Cars and Trucks were easier to fix, you had more room to remove the bad parts, and put in the Newer Parts.
    Life was more Easier...
    I really Hate These Engineers.
Oh...and years ago.. The auto Industry really cared about their Cars and Trucks they made. Now makers don't care about Quality of their Vehicles.
Older model Cars and Trucks were build better and Lasted longer. Now... They are A P.O.S.
In my Humble opinion... This 2.7 engine, is one of the Worst Engines ever built.
    Peace

Have you replaced a water pump in a 2009 dodge avenger 2.7.... any videos? Please and thank you.

No, I haven't, sorry. Water pump is inside the engine, very often does not worth the effort.

The back four shouldn’t have oil in it should it

    • @justdoityourself
      @justdoityourself  Před rokem

No there shouldn't be any oil. Sounds like you need new valve cover gasket.

Yes, exact same engi as mine 2009 Dodge Journey 2.7 V6. What spark plugs you recommend? I have an issue with P0205 and after that came P0305. P0205 leeds to a fuel injector in cylinder 5 and P0305 leeds to a misfire/ignition in cylinder 5 according to OBD2 which can be due the clogged injector. I'm ordering, just in case, an ignition coil OEM DELPHI GN10310-12B1, Fuel injector BOSCH 0280158 028, Spark plugs NGK 5055 and finally intake manifold outer sealant AJUSA 13183800. What do you think about these spare parts? But first, I'm going to use and try with fuel injector cleaner which goes to fuel tank. Thank you for your effort.

It sounds like a fuel injection to me. I try to use ngk ruthenium spark plugs whenever possible.

NGK 4306 - copper should be good for 50,000 kms (that's what I was using)
NGK 3381 - platinum can easily make 75,000 kms
NGK 2314 - iridium- would last over 100,000 kms
