    8:45 You must be mistaken. I refuse to believe any farmer anywhere on this planet would intentionally remove crop residue. I believe they were adjusting the field grade to promote water flow and drainage. It has two maybe three receivers on it making it easier, more accurate, and faster to achieve the desired grade. That technology has been around for over a decade.

    • @larrygronewold6529
      @larrygronewold6529 Před rokem

      @Katrina Korolov no, I was thinking of the “ trash” that are the dead plants. I do this exact same thing and I don’t want to remove trash. You can clearly see he’s leveling soil. Do you farm? Edit to add: I just watched it again and he’s moving probably less than 5% trash and 95% soil. That would be asinine to bring that much soil off the field for that tiny amount of trash. He also has a GPS globe mounted on the machine which tells him his elevation. He’s leveling the field. I actually have a large field right now that I need to do the exact same thing to.

      I worked for a company that had something similar, except it ran a conveyor belt out, around and then behind the trencher to continually backfill as it moved. You could actually install large diameter piping in the trench (inside a collapse safe box) as the trencher rolled along, in one continual process; trenching, installing, backfilling. Very cool.

    All truly incredible ... note how the giant concrete cutting wheel takes a while to cut concrete, which tells you that concrete is quite an incredible product ... so durable and long lasting...it's said that concrete (or cement) takes a century or more to really harden... hardness tests have been done on that...

      Would add that the next time any of you are driving down a highway where it goes through very high rock cuts, look at the vertical bore lines left on the face of the rock ... that's where they drill holes to plant charges to blast away the rock face to make room for the highway. Would like to see that happening in a video..

    • @joeboudreault2226
      @joeboudreault2226 Před rokem

      @@magnum8264 Not smoking anything ... I'm a retired engineer ... I know all about sheer strengths and hardness factors and so on tests have been done (Mohs scale) on different samples taken from over the centuries and tested for hardbess and it is shown that even several centuries ago concrete hardened over the years by a very small amount... this is particularly noticeable when they sample the hardness of concrete from a recent project and then try it a year or two or 10 years later ... it is actually harder. It's good to know that concrete does not get softer overtime.

    On that brush mowing machine: what if someone discarded some train rail or an anvil in there?

    The saw blade at about 5:50 looks totally useless to me. Take you a half hour to deal with a protruding block that a big CAT could in 3 seconds. And then if you broke one of those teeth, how much would a new blade cost? $5,000?
