  • In this video we take apart the coil overs to put on shorter and lighter springs. Then we leak out all the power steering fluid, do some control arm adjustments and find out we need to order more parts. Great...

Back off the clickers on the shocks first. I had a similar issue with the QA1 single adjustables and ended up pretty soft on the clickers.
I’m also running 450 pound springs on my C3.
Make sure you don’t have anything binding with the bushings within the control arms while you’re at it. Torque them down while the car is in the ground.
I can relate. I also went through this 3x before I was happy with it.

Just last night while trying to go to sleep I was wondering if the lower control arm is just tightened too much. May been to loosen it a tad so it's not so tight, drive it and let it get used then tighten it back up. Also, I was thinking the same with the shock itself. It's hard to turn the clicker when it's on the car

Did you "torque" the control arms down while the suspension was hanging? It can cause this problem of you do. I set the jack stands under the control arms close to the wheel as possible then torque them down.

I don't torque anything. My dewault half inch impact on earthquake mode is my torque wrench lol

@@krustyclassicsgarage I know you don't use a torque wrench and why I used quotes. My point was it should have just been snugged while hanging and then torqued tight on the stands. Using the impact may have them too tight and causing it to bind. I had 450 qa1 in a C3 they were softer than I wanted. But I went with them to match the rear ride quality. A 350 or 250 spring will be too soft.

One more question, sir is it possible to order coil pack wires the wires that actually hook onto the core pack cause instead of me cleaning the ones I have I was just gonna buy some new ones? Do you have a link for this thank you.
