- When Marge Simpson comes home with the kids from the dentist, she catches Homer in the act with Lurleen. This tips her over the edge and no longer cares about what Homer thinks. She turns to Moe for comfort.
Lots of rotoscoping done in this video but let's talk about the more important ones. First, Marge in bed with Moe: Marge's crying head is from when she called the mental hospital in the MJ episode. The whole fork in the eye was combined and redrawn from lots of different episodes.

Finally got to see Moe perform the ol' fork-in-the-eye. Brilliant.
I've been waiting for decades.
Not as good as the maneuver for when some gangster is dissing your flygirl but I'll take it.

The fact that Moe wins Marge over with “listen there, Midge, will you give Moe a throw?” is my favorite kind of Dark Simpsons plot device.
You see how much time passsed, after Marge left Homer? She spent almost half an hour in Moe's tavern. It sure was time to move on for Marge.
Yeah, while she was drunk asf. Honestly, that, followed by her crying afterwards, made it seem more like a rape scene

Homer had action with Lurleen, Marge had to settle for Moe.
I think Homer did better, even with a fork in his eye.
I'm surprised it wasn't Bart... which is what we could have expected.

And for someone who seemed not to enjoy it at first, Marge really changed her mind by the middle of the episode.

On one hand, I'm happy Marge finally left her terrible relationship, on the other hand, I'm sad that Bart didn't get his butterscotch chicken.
I like how Homer is merely severely distressed until he hears about Moe’s collaboration with David Byrne from Talking Heads. Then bam, “Must kill Moe.”
I like that Moe's room number is 411. That's a really nice touch.
I was half expecting Homer, in Snake's hair, to rip out Moe's heart with a cork screw. But 'the old fork in the eye' was a brilliant ending.
Maybe if it was redone as a Seamless Cut episode.
It was so foolish for Moe to assume that fork in the eye can kill Homer.
Also, knowing that she already did this so many times before makes it even funnier.

You always choose the most appropriate clips and audio to edit together into a coherent story! Dark Simpsons just keeps getting better and better!

That always bugged me. I thought they said Bart was allergic to butterscotch and imitation butterscotch. Marge is essentially killing Bart with her cooking. THAT'S the dark part of this episode.
You misunderstood. Marge uses real butter and actual scotch to make her famous Butter Scotch Chicken.
What's worse is that that was from an actual episode (the one where Milhouse's parents divorce) and the writers for season eight aren't the same ones from season 2 (which had the episode where Marge reveals that Bart is allergic to butterscotch and imitation butterscotch. Also glow-in-the-dark monster make-up. The episode was I believe the one where Homer forces Bart to donate blood to Mr. Burns because he thinks the family will get money from him that way. Why isn't there a Dark Simpsons adaptation of that episode?)
