  • The Ministry of Roads and Highways through its major agencies: Ghana Highway Authority, Department of Urban Roads and Department of Feeder Road has initiated and is currently embarking upon various works on over HUNDRED THOUSAND (100,000km) of roads and bridges all over the Ghana. This is conformity with the declaration of 2020 as the "YEAR OF ROADS" by the president of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

    Good but I still think our travelling roads are still dangerous and outdated. We're in 2020 , nobody uses single lanes on a highway anymore

      That means evacuating residents, Ghana roads are larger than in UK but how come we are better drivers than Ghana drivers?

      @@lindaofori3914 UK has better drivers because laws work. No cop in the u.k will stop you for an illegality on the road and take 1 pound bribe . 😂😂😂😂 It's not a matter of the size of roads but the common sense

    So good to see the progress on the roads, i know that road from Tenkon to Amanfrom (damn it was bad in 2016) but better roads bring new problems. The standard of driving is truly awful and faster roads will reveal this leading to more accidents. White lines help give separation and order but driving standards and road safety need much attention. I know from personal experience how dangerous the faster roads are (Accra - Kumasi) - VIP coaches are absolutely lethal due to appalling driving standards.

    Akuffo addo should try everything possible to complete all roads in all the villages and cities in the country before he complete his second term. This could be the greatest achievement because many people use Ghana roads to chop Ghana money too much

    Good progress. Infrastructure always brings development. Well done for continueing similar infrastructure development from the previous government. Every subsequent government should do same and Ghana will no doubt be the true envy of Africa.

    6.42 The lady Said " for the past ten years the roads are Very bad but now they are like América, we aré living in América now" lmão thats funny. I Hope the tarmac holds up in the climate. Hope its a good quality tarmac because If its not good quality tarmac that withstands tropical climates then its money badly spent and youre back to pot holes everywhere.

      I think we don't need to attach politics to this, I guess No one framed a single word for them to speak, they are matured and can observe what they have been through previous years so the person must be a member of any party but since the road is been constructed under this government., they could praise the for that and it does not mean the person has switch/changed his/her party.

    Maintenance is the biggest problem.
    Roads in the neighborhoods...too much dusty and muddy roads in our neighborhood.
    Get raid of open gutters too. We are too old for that.
    We need the year of accessible water right in every house: city or village.

    The quality of most of the roads are very bad even with no lines ensuring demarcation. The government should have done better so that dis roads could be able to stand the test of time

      Look at u saying it is cheap propaganda or at least they are doing something. It's not about just making roads which will go bad after every year or 2 and we need to do them again but roads that can be able to last over decades. That is our problem in this country, we are just happy dat they've made roads but no one cares about the quality go n research and you will find out that even top 10 african countries with quality roads Ghana is no where my brother. We all want the best for our country

    They are it again. Year of roads is a sham. We expected this administration to fix the staircases on the Madina Footbridges only for them race tracks. At least JM did a modern footbridge right infront of Hotel Waa Waa. Can't you see that? Vote against Gabby Otchere Darko. Vote against mediocrity.

    You're not living in America. When you see the American roads you'll appreciate the rubbish construction that is passing for roads. Tiny open gutters that carry effluence nowhere. Pretend gutters in this day and age? Two heavy rains and your roads will be washed away.
