I would actually argue the 1.5T EX is the best value, you get 90% of the pros of this awesome car while paying substantially less. The cloth seats are perfectly fine. These "leather" seats aren't going to wow anyone who has sat in a European luxury car. The EX is the sweet spot because you get all the safety features of honda sensing

Today is May 15 -- we just ordered our 2020 Accord Touring (yes, during a pandemic shutdown) for an awesome quarantined price. I did want to point out that the Heated Steering Wheel IS a dealer-installed option, but for $615, we decided to forgo this expensive add-on. We did add door edge guards though. The leather seats are also heat/cool ventilated on the Touring, not on the EX-L. Looking forward to taking delivery over the next couple weeks as the dealer locates our color (Obsidian Blue/Gray) from his dealership network. This video was a great tour of the vehicle.

This is how I see it. There are a lot of money makers for Honda on the 2020 Accord. Here are just a couple. 1. Wheels on the above car stick out further than the tires so when parking it's easy to damage the wheels on the curb. Wheels are around $250 each. Honda will try to get you to rotate the tires so that in short order all four wheels are damaged.
    2. Front end. The sensor and the inter-cooler are within 6 to 12 inches of the car's front and protected by only a couple of pieces of plastic. If you hit anything firmer than a beach ball prepare for a hefty bill. These are just 2 things that make the parts department happy. There are others. These money makers have been around since at least 2018 so obviously Honda is happy with them as well.

The power difference was night and day when I test drove the 2.0T Sport VS 1.5T Sport. I also noticed different all season and fashion accent package options for the Accord on Honda.com. As fast as I would like. I dont want to join your cult of forcing people to drive slow. It's already been proven that slow drivers tend to cause more accidents than the ones who are speeding. So to me it makes more sense to get up to speed quickly than to drive slow and cause more accidents. You can have the pleasure for telling someone's mom or dad that you were the one who caused the accident. Because of the necessity of driving slow or getting up to speed slowly in your cult. I'll be the less likely one to cause such a travesty and less likely of telling someone's parent that I caused the fatality.
Granted it's getting off topic. To answer your presumption that most people cant handle hp over 100. Well that's their fault for wanting to showboat their new car. I'm not going to showboat a car that I barely know how to drive just because of peer pressure.

I haven't been in the 2020 sonata yet, but from reviews I've watched the common complaint is that there's a higher amount of wind noise than the competitors. I expected the accord to be louder than a school bus😂 but I was shocked at how quiet it was. You do hear a little noise from the tires, but it's still quieter than everything else I've driven besides the Mazda 6. I've never been in an acura but since it's a "luxury" brand I expect noise to be very minimal.
