- Barn Find '28 Model A Roadster Pickup makes it weekly run to the dump and recycler. This Model A has never strayed from it's home of Alexander Manitoba. My brother first bought it in 1975 then sold it on years later but eventually got it back. He uses it for his weekly dump run and plans on leaving it just like it is. Interestingly, his shop was the original Ford dealership for this part of Western Manitoba back in the 20's and 30's.

I'm really old dude and I get all inspired when I watch something like this , I love machinery and machine work and junk yard dogs that know how to be happy.
Me also. Fall in love with every old bit of iron I see. Have my grandpa’s wood lathes that’s over a hundred years old now. Can’t wait to use it!
Thank goodness someone other than me actually uses their old truck....to haul stuff like they were intended to do. Thanks for sharing!
I have a 1929 Ford Roadster pickup myself. All steel, but has been modified ‘just a little.’ It’s tubbed as you can see in my profile photo, and has a BDS 6-71 blown SBC. Has other body mods as well. Not on the road as of yet....but some day soon.
It’s one of those one step forward and two steps back with a champagne taste on a beer budget.
Great old survivor! It's awesome to see it still being used regularly!
Could have bought a shiny 32 v8. With s idemounts. Conv top . . R d str pickup 1952 ...35$ dad said it smoked they set fire to it
First one I rode in had a south wind gasoline heater it flashed back the driver calmly shut it off on way to school needed new underwear 🤗 think about a gasoline fired heater w. Gas tank under the dash was joined to spark and vacuum.
Curious - no license plates...says the guy that used to seize & tow such cars, with and for my local police - in your neighbouring province of SK. Cool truck regardless 👍 Gotta love the rare roof-less 'Roadster' variant
Traveling through time to the days of "The Waltons". Nice video. Thank you.
That truck is so cool it hurts.
Don't change a thing.
What an absolute gem.
As a Christmas surprise 2 years ago,my cousin took family for rides in one just like that. My 85 year old dad had a blast because my grandpa had one when dad was little.
That's one Plush ride. I love A Model Fords. A ooo gah!!
Wow, the sound of a stream like a river... Enjoy your car as much as possible. Good luck my friend.
I just love the fact, no license plate!
Casually dumping trash in a 20`s Ford is the funniest thing I saw today. :D
If that is a 28 it's got 30s wheels still love it !!! Dont change it!!! Leave as mate
Yep, they're 35's. The plan is to use it once a week just as it is. The AA in the shop is getting properly restored however.
Great old A Looks like fun. Patina is good. Running as is also. That bed looks to be loose. Take a moment and find the problem and fix. Probably just a broken bolt. Caretakers have a responsibility to care for the machine
i think jed clampet is looking for you = jethro needs a car !
welcome at any cars and coffee👍👍👍👍😀😀😀
I love that engine sound. I wonder if it's the exhaust that's too thin and makes this sound
Love that truck
awesome!
Did you buy it on Waltons mountain?Sounds beautiful! Keep that old iron running my friends! God bless!!!
It is said that very old objects get a soul. This car certainly has.
Let's see these new 80 000 dollar pickups last a quarter of the life of that beauty
It’s stupid to pay 80 grand for a pickup and what’s up with 6foot beds nowadays, Yep I’ll keep my 1984 C30.
Heater does to work. In July. Haha.
Perfect, thanks for the very cool video!
Number 50 subs , cool ride
They don't make em like they used to. That model A is a testament to the type of will power that generation had ours seriously lacks today.
If that model A could speak our generation would bow in awe to that model A's generation's testament. Sad our generation rather then learn from the past abuse it as a stepping stone today.
I think if you check.. Model T Ford’s years are from 1908/09 thru 1927. Model “A’s from 1928 - 1931.
Ya se merece una buena restauración. Saludos desde España
Restaurado ya no se usaría más, menos para tirar la basura en la nieve 🙂 creo que ellos lo disfrutan bastante así.
Makes me want to listen to the Foggy Mountain breakdown.
needs some colored glass boat nav lights on the front fenders, a 1940s teenager custom touch.
So cool!, love the truck, do you have 28 ,29 wheels for it? that is a chilly ride, thanks for posting!
i guess I am kinda off topic but do anybody know a good site to watch new movies online ?
@Vicente Rex Lately I have been using Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Esteban Carmelo definitely, have been using FlixZone for since march myself :)
@Esteban Carmelo Thanks, I went there and it seems to work :D I really appreciate it!!
@Vicente Rex No problem =)
What is this man! You guys are unbelievable! Nice Video! :-)
Like from Russia
LOVE IT !!! @ SO KOOL !!! ... .. .
TRACKTION TIRES ! ? ... .. .
Surely you can find a windshield someplace!
An aftermarket windshield post to replace the missing one is crazy expensive. We've been looking at local swap meets etc and have a lead on one in Saskatchewan. It'll happen sooner or later.
Not having one adds to the “aerodynamics”
Thought I was watching the Waltons
Engine so smooth and low
Notice what he did when he parked by the sidewalk? The truck was still cold so he set the throttle so the engine would idle faster. I wish to God you could do that with modern cars, is a choke button too much to ask for?
WoW
Lets see how that old metal likes being driven in the salt.
*I would buy the sh!t out of it ...plz take my money!*
Me too...lol😁😎💖🇿🇦
Oh hey a stock civic in the backround is not riced
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in EU :-( In Germany the Green party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one station per city. :-(
Glad I probably won't be around to see it. May be they will convert it to electric, charged by a coal electric plant. lol
You can sympathise with the horse driver of the 1950s when horses were banned from the freeways because they represented a hazard to other road users
@@chrisnewman7281 We have Amish here and many people have no patience with them. Sad.
Then your country needs to leave the EU as soon as possible and never vote green party again.
@@jamessmith7691 See you must live in Pennsylvania
Gas ? Diesel ? 🏆
Gas. 4 cylindre Otto motor
holy F.ck ! Sound like music !
Take the CarMax see what they would give you for it
1K tops.
I mean, it's missing the roof!
It fell out of the garage poor old thing , I would put a screen back on it and a soft top as they were and ,leave the rest original thanks
The Beverly Hillbillys. Revisted
Dont you have to register cars in that town
In theory. John is such an integral part of the town and has done a lot for the community. That buys him a little leeway to use the old truck as he does. The town is pretty remote and what you see in the video is it.
@@danmcnarry Dan in oz you wouldn't get away with anything like that even in the extreme outback town's there is a duty of care rule that's pretty strong the police must adhere to if the police knew you had just past you and for some reason someone had an accident with you every thing would hit the fan and the police would be in court the officer would be stood down and could loose the job if someone died there could be a manslaughter charge duty of care is for is for our safety see ya mate
