- Here's the track referred to as "Don't" or "It's Gone" by the fandom. I have had a few requests for this in the past, and I must admit that it was never a track that really stood out to me. However, having now spent the time to extract it, I can see why it's a favorite. Enjoy.

"The hostess...what was her name?"
"...I don't know..."
RTD is just the best...
The way everyone looks horrified realising they don't remember the name of the woman who sacrifices herself to save them all. Superb, very human acting.
It's insanely difficult to believe the same man wrote that as the one doing the current stuff
@@HerohammerStudios Hey, give him a little more time. RTD's first DW series in 2005 was all that great either, but it turned out very well in the end (I meant series 4).
What's crazy is that most of the audience didn't think about it either. She was just the hostess character.
One of the biggest unreleased track in the show, it's really surprising considering its popularity in the fandom AND by Gold himself since he's done tons of variations/reused of this track throughout series 4 5 and 6
When was it used in S5 & S6?
@@thefilmmusicaficionado7937In *The Doctor’s Wife* when house erases all the TARDIS rooms towards the end of the episode! 👍🏻
@@thefilmmusicaficionado7937 From memory S5 it's used in The Eleventh's Hour (After Zero leaves), in S6 it's used in The Doctor's Wife (After House destroys Eccleston/Tennant's console room), The Almost People (The whole story epilogue just before they go back in the tardis) and A Good Man Goes to War (When Rory reassures Amy just before the climax)
I'm pretty sure it's used in other episodes of S5 but I can't remember when. And it's used quite a few times in S4 too
@@thee2724 Answered that above!
@@thefilmmusicaficionado7937 It's also used in the Night Terrors at the end
“Doctor, please tell me you know who I am.”
“Who are you?”
Did they also use this track in the library episodes? I couldn't remember.
@@laisensei6984like 4 or 5 times, including a variation that interpolates The Doctor’s Theme
Haunting track. That scene where everyone just quietly sits around contemplating what happened gives me chills.
I think the thing that sticks with me most is ehen Donna asks if the doctor thinks the entity is still out there abd he just looks at her for just a second then goes back to looking away its so powerful to me it never fails to make me get a shiver. He can answer all of donnas questions honestly yknow that he has no idea what it was but its like he cant admit its still out there like it'll keep him up at night if he said it.. but the answer is mist definitely yes...
“It’s like when you see someone you know in photos before they met you, it’s like they’re not quite there.”
This was such a phenomenal score, I don’t know why it wasn’t included on the official release, there was many pieces from Series 4 that weren’t included on the official soundtrack. Don’t know why Murray didn’t include it.
There's only so much you can include on one CD. At 76 minutes they were really close to the limit. Plus it wasn't until the Specials that Silva Screen started doing 2 disc sets.
Especially since it was used AGAIN after this one episode. Journey's End used it, and so did the Doctor's Wife.
LITERALLY! So many tracks come to mind, particularly the one in Runaway Bride where 10 says bye to Donna. Should have done a 2 disk set right from the start!
@@DoctorpooandtheTURDISdon’t forget the almost people and a good man goes to war!
May have been a rights issue. Most (although not all) of the pieces that were recorded with the smaller session orchestra at Lyndhurst Hall (starting from series 3), rather than the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, haven't been released.
I'm genuinely surprised that this track wasn't officially released, considering how much it was used
Something so simple about this yet so haunting. Thank you!
Thank you so so so much. I'm a new watcher and I fell in love with the music as much as the show. Thank you for working on pieces that never made it to the official soundtracks, allowing us to relive some of our favorite scenes and the emotions that came with it. I'm very grateful.
DOCTOR: The hostess. What was her name?
HOBBES: I don't know
😢😢😢
This is amazing and definitely appreciated. I requested this as well. Thank you so much! If requests are still available, I would love the music where in ‘The Poison Sky’ the Doctor shoots that bolt into the sky to clear the fog in the skies and it is clearing it! And also, the montage / scene at the end of The Waters Of Mars, where the doctor is fighting off The Flood to the base blowing up! Personally, I love that music in both of those moments, it’s so good!
"The hostess, what was her name?"
Finally. I remember requesting this a year ago.
Thank you so, so much. This is beautiful.
Those violins and trumpets at the end are absolutely haunting. I may have fallen out of love with this show more than ever, but I will never not adore the music.
Is that due to Disney?
That's the only thing putting me off the show at the moment.
You guys do realise they're just distributing it? They have nothing to do with the production of the show.@@The12thDimension.
@user-ix8uy8cn9o they do have a say in what gets put out, as they're now partners with the BBC on the show.
Also, it was definitely Disneys idea to release Doctor Who at midnight for UK audiences, which isn't a great look
You can tell they have a bit of an influence even if little, the whole way the show presents itself now seems a bit disney-fied
Yeah I have to admit I’ve fallen a bit out of love with the Disney influence, particularly with the decision to release it at midnight UK time. I’m sure their input will be slight overall, but it does feel like the show we know and have loved and supported is being expanded whilst putting US viewers front and centre, rather than the UK audience which has ultimately supported it for over 60 years now
Thank you, seriously! This is one of my favorite pieces from Murray Gold! Shame it never got released but thank you for the time and effort you put into extracting the track!
Watched this episode the other day, imo the best written episode in the whole rtd era, the ending came on and I was thinking about this track, next thing I know you’ve released it. Thank YOU!!!!
Omg, i love this. Thanks for uploading in herw
incredible work! really glad you did this one :)
Oh my god finally I’ve been waiting so long for this thank you 🙏 🤩
This is amazing! 'Don't' is such a beautiful and iconic theme and whenever I hear it I think of the episode Midnight! Thanks for this! 😊😊
long have i waited
Don't.
I said it was her...
The Doctor: "Screw you, your funcking bitch!"
have you considered isolating the series 6 variant too?
I second that! And the Journey's End variant too!
You’re a king for doing God’s work. 👑
Phenomenal stuff!
I'd love to hear the original version of "Midnight" from the scene where it starts copying the Doctor and everyone starts freaking out.
Always loved the soundtrack version-i.e. the version that plays when Donna's fake kids disappear in Forest of the Dead, and when 10 destroys the white point star in The End of Time-but I never knew until recently that a completely different version (with what sounds like a xylophone?) plays in Midnight. I guess that would make sense since the track itself is called "Midnight" lol.
What do you think it was
No idea do you think its still out there you better tell them this lot
Yeah they can build a leasure palace somewhere else let this planet keep on turning round the next Estonic star in silence
Outstanding!
Best extraction of this piece I've ever heard, and I've gone out of my way to look for them over the years! I don't know if you take requests, but do you have any interest in doing the alternate arrangement of this piece that was used in some series 6 episodes, like at the ending of the Almost People?
Would you be willing to extract the version of "This Is Gallifrey" that plays in the "The Doctor's Daughter" when the Doctor talks to Jenny about the Time War? It can't be more than 50 seconds long but it's SUCH a good version AND it's just vocals and music. No foly or extra sound effects so should be easier to isolate.
Suggestion, could you do the Variation of "Evolution Of The Daleks" that plays in "Victory Of The Daleks" when the Doctor is talking to the Supreme on the Scanner?
Good job, very nice work. How have you been doing ?
Can you maybe do the music when the doctor says goodbye to wilf at the end of time. It’s vale but a different variation.
Also maybe the music from the beginning of the army of ghosts with roses life
Should do the entering the tardis music from twice upon a time
Absolutley incredible! Do you literally recreate the whole song from scratch? whats your method
DO THE THEME TUNE WITHOUT THE BREATHING SOUND NEXT
Could you please do Fighting the Flood?
Do More Of Series 10
Back when Doctor Who was a household name...man I miss those days, especially now with what it's become 😭
You're joking right? Dr Who's seen a crazy resurgence since the 60th
"What it's become"?
What did it "become"? Chibnall was a bad showrunner and the writing has been stiff the past couple years, but for some reason I have a feeling you're just gonna whine about "woke" this or woke "that" or whatever, because if you aren't obsessed with nonsense like that you're probably enjoying the show right now.
