If warriors can keep JK and land Lauri and adapt him to the system. It's over for the league. Steph with legit assistance and size? It's done. Ring #5 and 6
I agree!
Why do people always mention size with lauri like he’s a real presence in the paint? He can’t guard bigs, defend the rim, or score in the post consistently like that
@@ninerempire3398 bcuz although he's not a great defender, his size and length matters with other teams in the west that have multiple bigs, we barely got 1 with TJD. And offensively, he dunks. JK is only one who attacks strong.
You extending Lauri & JK?$$$$
@@Goldenstate9er650 true but u got 2 yrs with both right. Extend em if they win a ring
Wanna hear something crazy? Wiggs has almost spent half his career with the Ws.
5.5 years with Twolves
4.5 years with Ws
Man I wish he would wake up or get traded
@@jeffythecreator467 If Wiggs plays this year with the Ws, he'll top Livingston's years tenure with the Ws. And, nearly match Iggy's.
Kinda wacky because it doesn't feel like the dude has been with the Ws that long.
It’s only 104, sitting poolside at the Bellagio 😊Can’t wait for tonight.
Hell yeah B love the soccer energy
Im from brazil and i dont know about trades in NBA, so i would like to know if the GSW can make a trade before the trade dead line. I mean, in december or january even november ...
No the Duds as we call them here in America, have been banned from making trades or participating in post season (ha) or drafting. Hope that helps!
Kessler from Utah jazz is a good center 7foot kid.
They probably wanna keep him, he's young
lets be honest, JK worth 2 frp, Lauri worth 4 frp.
Lauri fits the team better than JK
JK might be better that Lauri after 3 years
After 2 more seasons, when Curry is completely out of his prime.
if we trade Lauri, we will have a 29 ys Lauri, who's gonna have 3-4 years left on a max contract.
Route A
senario 1: if Warriors retool with Lauri get them to another final, this is a successful trade
senario 2: if Warriors failed to reach conf final the next 2 seasons, it didn't work out. but at least we tried.
after 2 years, rebuild time start, Warriors should be able to flip Lauri for 3-4 frp assuming Lauri didn't regress.
Route B
senario 1: if Warriors don't trade JK, and hope him to take a big leap. first of all, the chance is low, like 10% in the next 2 season, he could be as impactful as Lauri. assuming he did, either we success or not, once Curry fell off from his prime, we need to rebuild again.
we will be able to build with an athetic wing that should be a 2nd option of the team which is what Lauri is. or sell him for pick (4-5 max)
senario 2: we stick with JK, JK improves from a low tier starter last year to a mid tier starter next 2 seasons, which is a more likely senario. and eventually values 2-3 first round picks as a borderline all star in 2027. this is still a fair valuable if not generous.
so logically and mathematically speaking, the only reason that Warriors don't trade JK for Lauri is if they think Lauri will be worse or having injury concerns in the next 5 years...otherwise, this is a no brainer to me...
nah I think Mike Dunleavy's got it right, they should really try to be a 45 win play in team from 2025 to 2031
Lauri doesn’t play more than 50 games a season, hasn’t played in the playoffs, Danny ainge will rob us blind, not good defensively, and there’s no guarantee he likes it here and resigns. Zero upside in trading for him. Somebody else sure but not that dude
@@dangerzone3470 i agree he's not a durable player, but he plays more than 50 games every season. 22-23 he played 66 games. Warriors have enough players with playoff experience, that should be a big concern. no way Warriors would trade him for just one season, there would be open communication with him, if he doesn't give verbal commitment, there's no deal, just like Siakam.
This team is gonna be a 50win team with Lauri and a 43win team without him, if you don't see it, you might want to learn more about the ball.
and Lauri certainly doesn't guarantee anything, but matter of fact, JK is far less convincing in the next 2 years than Lauri. and JK will never be a 1st option on the champ team. so why not trade JK for a better chance the next 2 years.
if you think Warriors has a better candidate to trade, i am all hears.
if you think JK will lift the team or Warriors should be stay put and be a 43w team, i'd say i am thinkful that you aren't Warriors GM. its even crazier considering they could pay far less tax and develop more young players without making those 3 trades a week ago.
so in conclusion, they are making a move, and i don't see a better fit than Lauri, and if it costs JK so be it.
if you wanna comment again, give me some details
JK will be a fringe all star next year and make the all star the year after…he’ll be the franchise player when Steph retires
@@weixiaozhang1970 I know you really want a big splash in the offseason but I promise Lauri is not the answer and could potentially end with Steph on another team in a year. It’s a high risk for mid reward. I’d rather go into this season with this roster and if Giannis or KD or someone of that ilk wants a trade at the deadline or next offseason that’s who you go for. Not a tier B star who’s the best player on one of the worst teams in the league. I know time is ticking with Steph but we can’t let desperation get to our heads.
Kerr just needs to use moody, jk, lester and tjd. Kerr don't know how to get out of his comfort zone. Reeled so much in the core. Now the core is broken, time to use the pieces they have. But i think kerr just sees them as valuable trade pieces and that's the problem.
We are tired of waiting for this answer. The warriors need to move on from him.
This is our only chance to get a young franchise player to hold us down the rest of his career. We can't just move on
Better try to trade for a Karl Anthony towns than wasting time tovget lauri both have the same skills and injury prone😅
KAT is harder since he's got a huge salary: a shade under 50M. Wolves aren't going to trade KAT (yet). They'd have to bomb the season and panic trade him at the deadline. Or, it might be a next year thing to manage the salary / luxury tax.
In 7 seasons, Lauri Markannen has only played over 60 games 3x. The other 4 seasons he played 50+ games. And the most games he’s ever played in his career was 66. Sorry, you can miss me with a tall player who is injury prone this young.
There's some necessary context with the past few years. The Jazz have been shutting him down in order to tank. So those numbers are skewed a bit
@@jboogie45213 haha ok… 👍🏼
Yeah lauri’s been shut down at the end of the last two seasons, end of the day his talent and size is worth it
@@Lileggmane Facts!
@@aaa4181 yep 7 seasons they shut him down. Please. Stop making excuses. He isn’t reliable. Did Wemby get shut down? Give me a break.
The list of players who shot 20ppg on 63% is small and guess who was on that list last season?
Jokic - 65%
Giannis - 64%
Embid - 64%
SGA - 63%
Lebron - 63%
Lauri Markannen - 63%
that's it. Lauri is as efficient as 3 MVP candidates on contending teams. He was efficient on the tanking Jazz team who sat him a lot lmao. Imagine if he played with Curry who gets doubled or tripled almost every game. He's going to have way more space. People are dumb.
I know it's heresy and I'm not bagging on Klay, but...
Lauri vs Klay is the same type of player performance improvement of KD vs HB.
(Klay was not good last year.)
That’s cool stats an all. But Lauri doesn’t automatically make the warriors a contender. The problems are way deeper than just getting Lauri
@@brandan2468 It’s TS stat. True shooting is the best stat to use to determine someone’s scoring efficiency. That’s why the top of the list are MVP candidates. Every single year, the top of this list are ALWAYS MVP candidates. It’s not just a normal stat… don’t be dumb
@@fried_riceee he’s putting up those numbers on a tanking team with no hope. Can you do that in the playoffs? We all don’t know the answer to that. How will he hold up in the playoffs when teams target him on defense? He can’t defend at a high level. He’s a good player tho
Only played 55 games and not a good defender. Miss me with big guys who are injury prone
If we tank, we will and should lose Steph & Dray. On paper, I think we are better. Klay avg 17.9 last year if Kuminga avg 20 or more which I think he will that's our #2 scorer. We pick up the slack from Klay's 3pt shooting with Hield & he isn't the all-around player Klay was, but he will get better shots here, which will make him more efficient. And, the defense will improve with Melton & Anderson. Lastly, you can bring Podz off the bench with Slo Mo to cover running the 2nd unit. 1's Steph, Wiggins, Kuminga, Dray, & TJD, Bench - Podz, Melton, Anderson, Moody, Looney & we still have GPII for extra energy. Goal should be a top 4 seed in the west, if we're top 4 in the playoffs with Steph anything is possible.
That's a horrible shooting starting lineup. Steph will get smothered with no spacing.
Trade Wiggs in the Laurie deal
Andrew. W needs to go no thought about it period. too much money for this guy.
U need to hang on to him and keep everything u got. U added Hield who can shoot but has a bad attitude so he will fit u to a T
We should develop all youngs this season ..... next season KD,AD and KAT would be on the market !!!
And you’ll get none of them
Need to trade kuminga warriors can’t win with him playing heavy minutes he can’t shoot and makes to many mistakes
That's a lie. His plus minus is right up there with the starters, he's shooting 52 percent, and inserting in the starting lineup helped salvage the season. You sound as silly as Richard Jefferson, who got clowned Kp, over casual take on Kuminga.
Move Curry while u still can get players for him. Your phony dynasty is over time to move fwd
