Excellent build ! Any homesteader would love to have that machine . The detail work and planning show a man with an engineering / mechanical mind . Keep up the good work .
It's already been said, but I reiterate... Not only are your skills as a designer, fabricator and builder beyond reproach, but your operating skills are far and above many others! It's a pleasure watching how smooth your operating skills are. Like an extension of your body!! Well done sir, well done!
What a really practical and useful machine. If it was an more flexible, you could brush your teeth with it! :o) Thanks for taking the time to share it with us.
no he wasnt in reverse, The excavator appears to be rear steer, The reason i say this is because the pusher blade is always on front, the steering is usually either rear steer, or articulated in the center, the wheels cant turn behind the bucket or when pushing you can lose traction or ability to push. It is set up mainly like a forklift. Very cool though.
@@rodx5571 He was in reverse... you make a good point about the dozer blade during use but there are three things that show this is front steer - 1) the tow ball is affixed to the dozer blade, and you don't push a trailer, 2) the scenes where he drives up to the job, the dozer blade is at the rear 3) the rack is fitted as a front-steer vehicle (hence when he turns the wheel to the right when facing over the dozer blade, the vehicle turns left). When you can spin the superstructure by 360 degrees then front/rear steer become a little arbitrary, however it looks like he has built this so he can trundle out to the task as if it were a little car, even towing a trailer, but once he gets there he works with the blade at the rear for the reason you mentioned, and also to give a bit more stability (the central pivot is biased towards the front of the chassis).
You know I see some of these comments about you and your build! And they seem rude! But I've got to say this is one bad ass build! I love working with steel and making someone that someone tells me that it can't be done! Good luck and keep building!
The design is flawless, the rotating bucket is amazing and his operating skills are fantastic. John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson or some other Tractor company should buy this gentleman's design and mass produce this wonderful machine... Outstanding! 😃👍
Really great job on the build and thanks for taking the time to upload the video of your creation! I've never seen a commercially bucket with a rotation feature like you designed. There are many buckets with tilt only but not like this, looks really handy for smaller jobs around the farm and work where you don't want to tear up the ground too much moving the machine around to get in the right position.
I don't know what you do for a living but if your not a mechanical engineer I wouldn't be able to even make a guess at what you do actually do. You are a very very talented and knowledgable person. You have built an outstanding machine with the most flexibility in movement and control of the bucket. I don't think that I would go on to manufacture these as you would have to develop rollover protection for it and carry a deep insurance liability policy. But if I were you I would patent if possible and license out sell rights to the design for the control of your bucket movement techknowledgy! Well done my man WELL DONE!
WoW, this is magnificent! And the turning bucket.... I want one! This is exactly what I need on my homestead. I sure wish you had plans. I would build this almost exactly like you have. You probably built it from your head. I'm not quite skilled enough to do that... yet. But wow, I sure wish you sold plans...
Impressive dude. Nice craftsmanship and all, looks well designed too. Curious about the lack of stabilizers and a toothed bucket but, I guess you built it for your needs and you don't needs them. Really like the swivel head bucket, as an equipment operator I can tell you it certainly eliminates the need for re positioning. You make the operation of it look like you're wearing a glove, smooth and clean operation. Nice job.

by far the best design yet for a homemade excavator. very impressed.

I was wanting to make my own excavator for quite some time. Thanks for sharing this amazing machine with everyone!
One of the coolest machines I've seen love the bucket that can swivel and tilt. Awesome video
One of the best operators Ive seen.
Высший класс. Не все заводские так умеют. Однозначно - МУЖИК ОТ БОГА
Ok I'm impressed with that articulating bucket. Excellent
That is awesome! I love how the bucket can swivel all the way around, absolutely amazing piece of machinery! Excellent work!
Watching you operate it is as cool as the machine itself. Excellent!!!

you sir are talented, bravo, good job, amazing.
Extremely well built, great job!!
Congratulations - I enjoy to see this home build machine..
..and the operation ! RESPEKT
That works heaps better than I thought it would, obviously a good operator at the controls certainly helping.
that is the best homemade build ever! nice job man!
would Love a pre fabricated kit project like this. thanks for sharing
I have no words.
AMAZING!!!!
Amazing build!!
I was confused by the backwards steering then I realized you were technically driving in reverse. This machine is impressive!! Nice work!

Great job in designing and executing an awesome build.

ScoutCrafter wheeled excavators have already been aroun for over 20yrs
Why? They will just charge 100x what it cost for a DIYer to make. Make some plans.... kits..... and sell them.
The rotating "Twist-a-wrist" bucket has been around for many years. I think maybe the one on this machine is store-bought as well.
😂 there R&D teams wouldn't want shite like this.

Well, its very common feature here in Sweden to have a rototilt, almost every excavator have one. Lots of manufactures sells them, but expensive.
That’s sweet. Great job!
Love the bucket rotor, great job dude!
+Doppel ganger (Doppelganger UKMusic) That was really impressive.

Very cool project! Congrats!
Sweet, I like the extra articulation on the bucket.
Fantastic job!
It takes years of expertise in a related field to be able to make a machine like that. 👍
